The staff were very friendly, the room was EXCEPTIONALLY clean and lovely! My daughter and I enjoyed a relaxing and tummy filling complimentary breakfast in the large, warm and sunny breakfast room. The location is also excellent as we were able to walk through all the shops close by. I have already recommended this hotel to friends and would certainly stay there again. We have stayed at this hotel on past vacations, it is supurb in every way. That is why we choose to stay there again on this trip. Everything is great right down to the animals made from hand towels, the staff was very hospitable and attended to our needs, the breakfast was delish, our three grandchildren enjoyed the beach and pool. We will return again soon.

Nice facilities and good view of Lake Huron. I know you had no control of this, but we were disappointed in the town not having more services available to visitors and a lack of concern about it. I needed some medicine for my wife and had to drive across the long bridge to seek it only to find the drug store closed. I then went 25 miles south to fine no place open there. Finally getting some medicine form a convenience store in another town. Wayne Cooksey Auburn, Alabama

The rooms were clean and nice. Great room service. I lost my boat tickets in the windy night of check in and had to purchase another set of five at the boat dock but one of the room attendents found them in the parking lot. Could not get reimbursed but they are good for next year. Hopefully we will use them next year. Did not feel like they were closing that weekend. Good trip. Thanks

Nice room, but very cold when we arrived, late in the evening. Did warm up after we turned on the heat - but chilly beginning for a stay that was basically a sleeping place. Would have liked some body lotion as room amenity. Good breakfast. Good value hotel.

Enjoyed our stay in MacKinaw. Just wished it did'nt rain on the day we went to the island. The room was great! However,we would have rather had a room on one of the upper floors to enjoy the view better. Also, some of the places we wanted to visit were closed due to being late in the season. Maybe next time. We enjoyed the MacKinaw Bridge,especially going over it. What a marvel. Enjoyed the fall foilage of your state also. Forgot to get a postcard of our hotel.

The room was great and the view of the lake was even better,but we had to go outside across a parking lot to swim in the pool or eat breakfast(which also involved a long outdoor flight of stairs as well). Small parking lot made it so you couldn't park near your room. The breakfast was included and adequate. No other meals are available. Room service was very good. The hot water handle came off of the jacuzzi.The highlight was the fireworks display on the lake that we could see from our balcony.

It was actually better than good. The Best Western Dockside was very clean and comfortable. Quiet as well. The reason I couldn't give it an Outstanding is because to use the pool you had to go outside to get to it. Not the best option in cooler weather. Other than that, excellent!
