Blue Water Beachfront Hotel Overview
Incredible view of Mackinac Island! 200 feet of sandy, private beach. Campfires on the Beach! One of few hotels in Mackinaw with FREE Wireless Internet in Lobby & Breakfast Room. All Guestrooms have either King or Queen size beds. We have both Deluxe Beachfront & Economical Non-beachfront Rooms. All Rooms come standard with Refrigerator / Hair Dryers. Lakefront Guestrooms have french door opening onto private balconies with views of the Island, and the bay. Indoor Waterpark on-site.

The hotel was very near the ferry, but it far enough away from the center of town that there wasn't too much hustle bustle. Mid-September weekday rates were very reasonable. Much better than expected after some of the reviews. So called water park was just a splash park if you are familiar with that term. The hotel hot tub for guests was cold broke and dirty. I have stayed at other hotels in mackinaw and have never had a complaint. I was a little worried about staying here after reading some of the reviews. Well you can't make everyone happy all the time. When checking in the front desk staff was very friendly and didn't make you wait , they stopped what they were doing to assist guests. The rooms, we had a beach front suit on the 5th floor. It was very comfortable , nice set up, very clean, and very quiet. The balcony was very nice , you couldn't see the room next to you, so very private. We watched the fireworks from the balcony. The pool areas were very clean and warm. The price of the rooms was very reasonable, you could easily pay more for this hotel. We will defiantly stay there again. Very close to the highway and not far from the ferry either. The rooms are a little aged but they are clean. It is right on the beach so it is convenient if you wish to have a sun bath after your activities. It is facing East so you may see the sun rise from the sea level which is quite a nice view. The breakfast is shared with the motel next door and is above average. There is also a nice restaurant (Blue Water Grill & Bar) just opposite to the motel. There is a mini water park inside the facility mainly for the kids. The Pool is relatively small and there is no hot tub. Good value overall.
