That is the only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5. To get to the 3rd floor you had to take the elevator and then go down 2 sets of stairs. It was difficult for us to get our luggage, cooler, and other items for our 5 day stay up to our room. Other than that it was outstanding! The view from the balcony was beautiful. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. There was a refrigerator but no microwave. The nice sized table with 2 chairs worked out perfectly for us to dine at. We stayed at the Hamilton Inn, the Ramada Inn, and The Clarion Inn. The Clarion was best overall. Would stay there again. The room was clean and comfortable. The few things that needed attention concern the bathroom. The light over the counter and sink took some coaxing to get to stay on. The shower head needed replacing as most of the water just didn’t come out as a spray no matter the setting. Having to ask for facecloths, which I would have expected to be supplied in every unit seem strange. Then not to have a working phone to call the front desk to ask help. Last but maybe the most important was no internet service. Talked to a few customers on that, and nobody could get internet service. The only thing that was disappointing (not fault of the hotel) they did not provide breakfast as the web site states but, gives you a BOGO to a local restaurant and the food was expensive and gross. I love the balcony view and the fact that this property is ideally located slightly away from the main thicket of the other hotels. Right next to US-31. Love that Sheplers has the shuttle trolley which circumvents the hassle of parking. Spacious room is always clean.
