This hotel is clean and a great location. Beds and pillows were comfy. Free breakfast was good enough. Pool and hot tub water chemicals seemed off. Front desk was friendly and helpful. When I needed to make a change to my reservation they were very helpful and courteous. During check, the lady remembered talking with me on the phone and made a reference to our conversation. The beds were comfortable with ample pillows. There were a few cosmetic issues that prevents me from giving it a 5 star - specifically, the balcony could use some care and maintenance. Hotel could use some updating as it is well worn and appears to be the primary year-round hotel option (covering the off-season). We had a balcony on Lake Huron with amazing views. The inn offered continental breakfast free each morning and it was wonderful. There was an indoor pool and hot tub but we didn't take advantage of this. It was an easy walk to restaurants and shops, and convenient to both ferrys. Customer service at the front desk was exceptional, and those ladies went beyond answering questions and being helpful. I would recommend the Hamilton Inn, and if I return to this area, I will stay at the Hamilton.I would also add that I received awesome information about the area in general from the Mackinaw City Chamber of Tourism which helped me plan my stay.These comments are from a verified stay

The view of the lake and the morning sunrise was spectacular. The room was clean and neat, bath a little outdated but still very clean.You are close to the ferry (quick walking distance) and buying your tickets at the hotel were cheaper than at the ferry gate.
