Most of the staff was friendly, however when I asked a simple question regarding servicing the room I was presented with an attitude by a member @ the from desk. Dont remember her name just that she had blonde hair. I quickly pointed it out to her being that it was unusual for me to have this kind of attitude from any staff member @ The Hamilton. Right next to the elevator and facing the lake. The beds were very firm, except for the sofa bed which was NOT firm and very lumpy. The sliding glass door was quite difficult to operate, and I think the track may need to be cleaned. We stepped outside to witness the sunrise in the very chilly morning on Monday. We had a lamp with no shade, but it did have bulbs, so it was operable! The bathroom had a exhaust fan that was very loud so it didn't get used. Breakfast was hot and the choices were many. I would have enjoyed having real half and half instead of pretend cream, but I made it work for the two mornings we were there. The hotel was definitely previously loved and could benefit from a makeover, which they may have plans to do after the ferry stops running next month. The location of the hotel and its proximity to the ferry, restaurants, the lake, etc., not to mention the price, make it a no-brainer to return to in the future.
