The ladies that work the front desk were very friendly and helpful, as were the hospitality associates that we encountered. Our room was clean and the beds comfortable. The TV worked great and the refrigerator came in handy. The reasons why I didn't give it a 5 is due to there not being coffee or other hot beverages available in the mornings. The coffee offered in the room was not very good (says my husband) and I am a tea drinker and there was no option for me. I would think that Covid is no longer a reason to not offer hot drinks. Another issue we had was that when we returned to the hotel late in the evening one night, the parking lot was full. We had to park in the overflow lot adjacent to the parking lot. It was very dark out there as there were no overhead lights, which was concerning. Safety of the hotel guests is important, as is security for our vehicles and contents that may be locked inside them. I wouldn't leave anything of great value in the car, but having overhead lights would be a deterrent to anyone thinking of breaking into a vehicle and would aid in keeping everyone safe, physically. We had to use the flashlights on our phones to see where we were stepping on our way to the hotel.These comments are from a verified stay

Staff was very friendly. A few minor maintenance issues. The website I booked the room stated that there was a breakfast served, which was one of the reasons we stayed there, only to find out that there was no breakfast, only a cheap bag of an apple, a tiny breakfast bar, a warm bottle of water. For almost $900 for 3 nights during off season, there could've been a better breakfast, even it was donuts, muffins, etc. Needless to say, any website that still states breakfast needs to be updated. There was also an issue where my wife left a pair of earrings in one of the bathrooms. She called a couple hours after checkout and the person that answered said that someone from housekeeping went in the room and did not see them. They were there, so either someone didn't see them and check both bathrooms, or didn't tell the truth. This is very disappointing. Overall, it was a nice stay.These comments are from a verified stay

There are no restaurants in the hotel, just a vending machine. The people in Mackinaw city were nice. The food at the various hotels was not all that based on the prices. The registration was easy.
