Great friendly service when we checked in. I was a little late for the grab bag breakfast the next morning and they still made me bags which I appreciated. The 2 queen beds with pull out couch beachfront room was clean and the view from our balcony was great! The beds were very comfortable but the pull out couch not so much. I looked online and found this hotel and saw that rooms were around $149-$159 a night so I called to reserve a room. I spoke with a desk clerk who quoted me a price of $279 a night. I replied that this was not the rate range I had found and she told me that there were no rooms at this hotel that cheap and I must have been looking at a different hotel. She then said that she was losing me throughout the call and that I should call back when I had a better connection and she hung up on me. I waited about 30 minutes and called again. I ended up booking a room for $159 a night, so I don't know what the first clerk was trying to book me in but I felt her interaction with me was rude. The next day we purchased ferry tickets at the hotel. They did not tell us that what they printed for us was just reservation confirmations. When we got to the ferry we got in the line to board the ferry and were told we had to go back and get into the ticket line to exchange the reservation for actual tickets. We then had to enter the ferry line again and wait to board the ferry. The same desk clerk sold us the tickets that I spoke with twice to book the room. Possibly she just needs better training to improve how she interacts with customers. Otherwise the hotel was okay. When we checked in, we had the option to upgrade our room to one with a balcony for $22.00 a night and we did, such a fabulous view!! The staff was great, too! The only reason I gave four stars and not five, is, it could use a little updating. Also, the ice machine on the 2nd floor didn’t work. We stayed for three nights and housekeeping never came to our room and that was ok, we ended up having to ask for another box of Kleenex, but that was fine.These comments are from a verified stay

Only downside of visit, the bed mattresses are horribly uncomfortable. I don’t remember them being that hard the last time, although it has been several years since our last stay at this hotel. Fireworks view was absolutely amazing and the perfect spot from the balcony, definitely worth it! Pool and hot tub very comfortable temperature and size too.
