Huge, huge difference from the Mackinaw city hotels I usually stay at. Both young men working front desk were friendly and interactive. I greatly appreciated the room upgrade as the property was not full. This year I brought a group of 26 attendees to Zoo-de-Mack bike weekend. Most stay at the best Western for some reason. It is my absolute favorite hotel. I'm always so comfortable and relaxed there. The staff is so so nice. Housekeeping does a wonderful job. They also suggest the Dixie for meals, and that place is wonderful as well. I always recommend people to choose this for lodging in Mackinaw City. Side note, I've seen their staff have to deal with very unreasonable people during the pandemic, and while I personally would not have the patience to do so, they handled themselves with pure professionalism and grace, where I and most others would Lose their cool and tell someone off. :)These comments are from a verified stay

I will say the pool chemicals were off some (somewhat cloudy). We liked our suite as it worked for our group needs. Ordering the tickets for attractions was very inconvenient as they couldn’t be changed when we had some changes to our group and we had problems at vendors because of how they printed (half a ticket on one page then half on another). The outlets in our room were all loose which made charging electronics difficult and there were not enough plugs in general. I will say staff was very polite and helpful. Some of our group was disappointed with the grab and go breakfast but I do understand that we came on opening weekend and I am sure your short on staff as is everyone else.
