Our room was a king -jacuzzi suite. It was very nice. Very clean. Great view. Breakfast was good. Hot. Plenty to choose from - way more than you get at most hotels that include breakfast in their room price. And there was plenty of room to sit to eat. In our 2 room suite we had 3 TVs. One in each bedroom and one in the bathroom. My husband was in heaven! I have read comments about the front desk staff - they weren't the friendliest, but I didn't have any problems with them. Overall a good experience for us - but I could see that during the busy season it might not have been a great experience. (floors are wood - not concrete like in some bigger hotels so you could hear your neighbors a little)These comments are from a verified stay

The screen door on the balcony was off the track and appeared to have been that way for some time. Thus, we were not really able to open the door easily. Other than that, the hotel was very nice. Had a dead battery, staff were very helpful with extension cord and were more then willing to help in any way they could. Stayed Four nights and the cleaning staff was very friendly and accommodating for extra towels and bathroom items. The Hamilton was very clean and very comfortable. I would highly recommend the hotel to any one looking for a place to stay in Mackinaw City. This by the way was Our ninth year staying there. The room was comfortable and not cluttered, very comfortable bed, nice view of the lake and the sunrise. Adjacent to one of the ferries, which was fun to watch and made for a two minute walk to get to the island. The room was totally quiet; heard not a peep from the rooms next door or from the ferries just outside. We had to ask for an extra blanket and for washcloths, rather than having them supplied in the room, and the TV picture was not working properly; these were things that housekeeping should have attended to before the room was occupied, but they were only minor inconveniences. When not available, the management put us in a two bedroom suite for the same price. Difficulty with heat brought a repair person within 3 minutes. Service was very good - we had a problem with the TV but it was quickly fixed. Breakfast was very good as well. Next door to the ferry and we could easily walk to shopping.
