I visit Mackinaw City/ Island twice a year. The only thing about the hotel that I don't really like is that the cleaning woman pretty much take over the hall for the majority of the day. I gathered thru our booking, that there was mention of pool bands for other hotels...although none were offered nor was it mentioned by out hotel. However, we didn't end up in the pool...so it wasn't a biggie for us. I received a call from the inn stating the room was not available. The had called Best Western and found me a room for the same price which was an outstanding service. The Best Western room was okay but I was really wanting to try out the Hamilton inn. I rate the service at Hamilton Inn outstanding for locating another hotel to my stay, Best Western as good. I had purchased discounted add on's for our stay, that were not readily available at Best Western at check in. The value of the room for what we got was great. The breakfast buffet you offer was something we have never experienced. So many choices - there was something for everyone. We would definitely stay with you again! One thing I would suggest is that your front desk people tell the guests about different things that are close to the hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, & we just enjoy our stay each time we visit over the years. We enjoy the swimming area & the whirlpool. I personally enjoy the breakfast area; because after eating, you can just chill in there and read or whatever. I would like to see fresh fruit & yogurt added to the menu of breakfast and maybe take away the donuts & mixed fruit.Just a suggestion to be considered. The room was comfortable and the breakfasts were amazing in the morning. Only 2 small issues. The air conditioning was loud and did not cool the room as well as we would have liked. And if you are lucky enough to be on the fourth floor, be aware that the elevator only goes to 3. So you have to haul your luggage up a couple small flights of stairs.
