There needs to be a way to rinse off your feet when coming from the beach into the hotel. There appeared to be plumbing for a faucet near the door but was not functional. The beds were hard and the shower, when I used it, had variable pressure and temperature. My husband used the shower at night and it was better then. Toilet plumbing was slow but this seems to be true throughout northern MI and wasn't a major problem for us. Given the recession and the fact that none of the hotels appeared to be full, we were surprised at the high price of rooms. Our least satisfying experience was the breakfast. The food was the usual Gordon Food Service/Sysco offerings but with no fresh fruit and no yogurt. Hamilton lacks a "signature" breakfast item which would help. My husband said the coffee was not good. The room was very cold which is a waste of fossil fuel resources. The set-up was confusing and created congestion where the attendant has to go into the back room. We would like to see an opportunity to recycle all the Styrofoam and plastic currently being thrown out. Asking us to forgo washing our towels while throwing out all that plastic seems environmentally contradictory.These comments are from a verified stay
