Sleeping was very quiet for the number of kids (2 bus loads!) also staying at the hotel. Great view of the Lake from our first room which was reasonably priced even with the upgrade. Great price and location with our return trip from the upper UP on way home. I called the front desk, they apologized and said someone would be right up with keys to another room. And you know what? The gentleman who checked me in was there in less than two minutes, with keys to a waterfront room with a balcony. The rooms are a little dated, but clean, and the bed was cozy with lots of pillows. This was the first time staying at this hotel, but probably not the last. We've stayed at other hotels in Mackinaw City, but this one by far was the best. The pool was the cleanest I've seen in a while. The breakfast bar was nice, but I would have liked to see some more fresh fruit and maybe some yogurt.
