However, the hotel wasn't quite what we had expected as a Ramada. The breakfast was interesting and crammed and had spelling errors on items. It did stay loud quite late it felt. Found it kind of disturbing as well that they only had one staff member on at times. Having package deals together for the water taxi and carriage rides was a big help. the only reason the rating was not outstanding was the aging of the building. Tight doors and such. Over all we had a wonderful vacation on both the island and Mackinaw city. We have taken bus tours and they were so good we decided to take our family on our own. The Chamber of Tourism site made it real easy to find hotels including pricing. And to plan our trip.
