The staff was very pleasant, including housekeeping, who made a point of greeting us in the hallways. Rooms were clean. ONLY drawback was that getting from our room to pool area, lobby, and breakfast area was all outside. As it was quite cold when we were there, this prevented us from using the hot tub as we would have had to walk back in the outside.

Room was spacious, and there was a great view of the lake from the balcony. It was clean, had a sofa, nice television, etc. It was right by the docks to take the ferry to Mackinac Island, and it was also very close to downtown. There was a free hot breakfast served, which was also nice. The price was also very reasonable.

The room was clean, the maid was finishing just as we arrived. She told us that she just needed to get a clean bedspread, because the other one had a spot on it. That was much appreciated. We had a water front room, which was very nice. The breakfast in the morning was very well done. Food was fresh and hot. Will consider staying here again in the future.

My husband and I were heading back home to Lapeer Mich. after a 2 week Rocky Mtn. vacation. Although it was beautiful and memorable we stayed in some pretty shabby places that looked better online. Mackinaw is our favorite "chill out" spot so we planned it as a perfect ending to our vacation. We were not dissappointed. We had a King jacuzzi suite and it was by far the most beautiful and comfortable place we stayed. It felt like home. Thank you.

Very friendly staff. We arrived at the hotel very early, roughly 4 hours before check in time, and the front desk workers were able to find a clean room that we could get into right away. The breakfast buffet was always stocked and hot. Very comfortable room. Overall, absolutely no complaints about my stay what so ever.

We've stayed at the Dockside many times throughout the years. We tried another motel one year and went back to Dockside. The rooms are wonderful; clean, comfortable and spacious. The people, from the desk clerks to the cleaning staff, are friendly and helpful. As long as we go to Mackinaw City, we will continue to stay at the Dockside. One little suggestion -- might want to update the TV.:)

Our lakeview, first floor room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated in an upscale way that made it compare favorably with much pricier hotels (we recently stayed at the Omni Shoreham in DC). Minor complaints were lack of space between the bed closest to the bathroom and the wall and a moldy soap wrapper which the maid took care of when informed. She even left extra soap! Super view and beach. Biggest complaint was standard GFS/Sysco breakfast with no fresh fruit. Some kid of nice "signature" dish should be considered. Would stay again.

The only item that wasn't up to our expectation was how long it took to clean the room each day, it was often late in the day before it was cleaned.
