The staff was kind and helpful. The room was beautiful. The pool was well maintained. The breakfast was a bonus (though the coffee machine was broken-they were getting it fixed right away though. Thank goodness for the room coffee.)

The reception lady at Hamilton Inn was welcoming and friendly. The y make you feel you are coming home after a long journey. The room was clean and when we had a problem with the TV volume and trying to turn on the jacuzzi, someone came to the room quite quickly and got things all straightened out. The vending machine issue that boiled down to getting in touch with a third party was a little disappointing, but we had an overall good stay.

We visit Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island annually. This is the first time we have stayed at this hotel or even one from this group of hotels through the chamber of tourism. Our "brand name" hotel did not have rooms available so I went on the tourism website, read about this hotel with the reviews and decided to stay here. Wow. Very clean room...efficient staff...excellent interaction with everyone on staff..large room..great view of the lake. We were very pleased and will stay here again !!

Desk staff were very friendly and the facility was very clean. Only thing that could improve is if the actually would offer a continental breakfast vs a bag with bottle of water, piece of fruit and granola bar. I feel this is possibly very wasteful and if this is what they are offering, then it should be laid out on the counter and people can just take what they would actually use.

We were only there 1 night but we enjoyed it. I was a little taken aback though that there were no more bag breakfasts when I got up there. First impression in the lobby was, “Wow, did I time-travel back to 1984?” Was looking for ladies in shoulder pads! But actually, my room was nice. Seemed redone with the fit and finish of everything being pretty new. Had the creakiest door reminiscent of a Scooby-Doo episode. Needed some oil. Overall, nice stay.
