I would of preferred a little variety as the menu stayed the same for all three days that we were there. The view of Lake Huron was fantastic and the sunrise/sunset was very colorful. We took a history tour on the trolley which was very informative and beautiful since we went across the bridge. I would have preferred a tape as our guide would forget where he was during his talk. This happened three times. Plus before he would start his speech he would lecture us about not talking and none of us did. We had a room on the 2nd floor with a balcony overlooking the lake. Nice enough room. Breakfast was a typical hotel free breakfast. We had a Jacuzzi in our room. It was in the bathroom. Can't really say anything bad about it. That is why I gave it 5 stars. It was walking distance to town. We had a first floor lakefront room with a patio, within 15 feet of the water, watched the sunrise thru dark November clouds. Hotel is on the south end of the main strip in town, would probably be quieter in the busier summer season, but town was very quiet during our stay, lots of seasonal places shuttered for the winter! Plus, the 3rd floor breakfast room is massive, breakfast buffet was so tasty, lots to choose from! We like the central location and price. The view is stunning on lake Huron, especially in the early morning sunrise. This is one of our annual color getaways and is always welcome. Though it was a bit chilly&rainy and the lake was rough, we still enjoyed our time. We request a certain room and usually, we get it and we love it! The rooms are over-sized and cleaned very well. My husband enjoys breakfast in the breakfast room and I enjoy sitting in the breakfast room and relaxing or reading after it closes @ 10 a.m We also enjoy using the exercise room when the weather is too bad to go out.
