The staff are always very helpful and go out of their way to accommodate us. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast room is big and easy to access everything even when crowded. There is plenty of options for breakfast foods as well. We have stayed here for seven years straight and always enjoy it.

For the price, it was more than we could have asked for. Plenty of room for the kids, and the breakfast in the morning was a nice bonus. We only stayed here two nights--one before jumping on the ferry the next morning, and the next time two days later after catching the last ferry back. If we return to the Mackinaw area again, we will definitely spend at least one night at the Clarion.

We had a great room with beautiful lake view. My only concern was what looks like a drainage ditch along west side of hotel with garden hoses running into it. It was fairly empty when we checked in but at night you could hear water running into it. In the morning it was full. Just seems a little fishy ,unsanitary and unsightly next to the lake. Thank you.

The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs w/ first floor, no step room access for my handicapped Mother-in-law. There was A LOT of attention to detail around the property. Very clean room, smelled good, plumbing qorked well, AC worked great too! In room fridge was already on when we got there, great help to us! Staff was so helpful and friendly. Chexk in & out was FAST!

The hotel was clean, with a wonderful view. Housekeepers were very friendly and thorough with their jobs. The front desk staff extremely helpful. What kept your hotel from an outstanding rating was the WiFi service, breakfast was average, and the stairs were inconvenient(we had to walk up a couple flights and then back down just to get to our room. Having the lobby positioned in another building was very inconvenient(especially in the heavy rain).

We transferred from the ramada[terrible] early but housekeeping prepared our rooms so we could move in. the 2-room suite was fabulous and the breakfast was much better than expected.the ramada suite room was very substandard for a resort area,but the clarion was excellent.
