The room was just what we wanted. The price of the room was a little higher than the area hotels. But I loved walking out the sliding glass doors to the beach. It was so relaxing. I recommend the beach side rooms. Breakfast was hot and good.

We were pleased with the check in, friendly staff, room and general feel of the hotel. There was a bit of a problem with the water draining from the tub and the toilet flushing, it got stopped up the morning of our departure. When we called for help we were brought a nearly worthless plunger and we were in a hurry to catch a ferry. It was a rugged way to end an otherwise very nice stay.

Beautiful, clean room. Great location, within walking distance from the shops and restaurants, but you could walk out of our room on to the beach. The complimentary hot breakfast was delicious.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the lakefront patio every morning and evening. Walking distance to shopping, boat docks, restaurants, etc. Never used my car the three days I was in Mackinaw City. I will be returning next year and plan on staying at Best Western Plus Dockside Waterfront Hotel again. I will request a third floor room this time just so I can keep the doorwall open all night without the worry of someone getting in. Enjoyed the breakfast every morning and loved the size of the room. Plenty of room for everyone without crowding.

Overall, we were pleased with our stay. The room was clean and well kept, and we really enjoyed the balcony and beach. A couple of small things kept it from a 5-star rating. First, the wireless internet was very unstable. Not only was it slow, we were required to re-authenticate a lot, sometimes as often as every 15 minutes. We also found the desk staff to be less helpful than they could have been. We weren't given clear directions to the breakfast space when we checked in, leading us to nearly miss it our first morning. The internet password was neither given to us upon check in or posted in the room -- we had to call for it. These are small things, but they meant that the experience did not merit an Outstanding rating.

The reason for good instead of outstanding was due to the room had a view of the outside stairway and wall. Also the sink drained very slowly. I did not report it until we checked out so it wasn't a big problem but it was a little aggravating. Other wise everyone was helpful and courtious. Would stay there again if we could have a room with a view other than a wall. Also the breakfast was very good and the location was within walking distance of all the places we wanted to go.

Had the best time with our granddaughter with the room opening right out to the beach! The pool was great too. The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful. I made the reservation early in the year and had to change it several times. Every person I spoke with was exceptionally accomodating. We'll be back again!

The room was not ready when we arrived at 3:30 pm, on July 16, although I did confirm the reservation the day prior to our arrival and told the hotel staff that we would arrive by 3:00 pm. Half of the suite was being cleaned for at least 30 minutes after we arrived. The accomodations were outstanding. It is unfortunate we had the inconvenience, otherwise I would rate it as outstanding.

The hotel was in a great location--walking distance from the Star Line ferry and shopping, and next to a park where there was live music on the weekend we were there. The rooms were clean and nice, and the hotel staff was friendly and efficient. I will definitely stay there on my next trip to Mackinaw City

Best Western Plus rooms we normal size rooms and very clean. The breakfast had warm and cold food and plenty of seats and tables. The private lake front balcony's were nice but small. I would stay bottom to top on any lake front rooms. All had different advantages. Hotel is in a nice location if you want to get out and walk. I would stay here again.
