Conveniently located on Huron Street, the Comfort Inn Lakeside is within walking to all that Mackinaw City has to offer, including the Mackinaw Island ferryboats, Mackinaw Crossings, downtown shops, theaters, outdoor concerts, restaurants, and a free laser light show.

Located on Lake Huron, the Comfort Inn Lakeside is one of Mackinaw City's finest. Excellent for swimming and sunbathing, our private sandy beach features a large sundeck and beach furniture. Enjoy the cool, sparkling water and the most fantastic views of Mackinac Island, the Island ferryboats, and the many beautiful and interesting sights and sounds of the famous Straits of Mackinac.

An elegant blend of colonial and traditional themes creates a comforting, relaxing atmosphere at the Comfort Inn Lakeside. All of our guest rooms offer two queen or one king-sized bed. Many of the rooms offer private balconies overlooking the lake, and in-room whirlpools are also available. A deluxe continental breakfast is served each morning on the lakefront. Refrigerators, telephones, PC hook-up and remote control flat screen televisions are standard in all our accommodations. For our guests' enjoyment, we also have an indoor swimming pool and the largest indoor whirlpool in Mackinaw City.

The Comfort Inn Lakeside called me earlier on the day of arrival to see if I would need an early check in. The Zoo-de-Mack bike tour was ending in Mackinaw City and they suspected my party may be participating. As it turns out, we benefited from an early check in as it was cold at the finish line and the bike riders were also quite wet from the weather conditions. It was good to get an earlier check in to warm up!!!

The motel is in a fantastic location, the staff are friendly and helpful and the price is one of the best. They offer free breakfast that is located in the attached hotel next door.. you have to walk approximately 2 minutes through a hallway to get breakfast some people seemed upset by this but free breakfast is free breakfast! The rooms are a bit outdated but the beds are clean. The fridge was clean. There is mold in the bathroom due to there not being an exhaust fan/vent in the bathroom but other than that Im not complaining. The pool was kinda dirty but this motel is crazy cheap compared to everywhere else so ya know, suck it up. There is a microwave in a shared area that you also walk through to get to the beach. The beach is gorgeous! I would definitely stay here again.. adding a vent/exhaust fan to the bathroom to stop the mold would make this place waayyy better! But over all Im not unhappy and the staff were super nice!

Nice place very friendly staff i would change the outdoor area and make better use of it there is a nice patio area but everything is just thrown together and not swept it could be a very nice area if just organized a bit the same goes for the chairs and loungers on the beach area it would only take 15 min in the morning to organize this area also I missed having a microwave in the room and the wifi was terrible but with that being said I would recommend staying here its very clean and walking distance to everything

Wonderful location and customer service . Did not have breakfast because it was an unhandy location. As an old hotel it was plenty well kept except need corners of rooms and balcony brushed for spiders/spiderwebs. They were very bad even in the bathroom. If it wasn't for that I would give a five star

The room needed the baseboards dusted and there was mildew on the ceiling in the bathroom. I had dropped a water bottle lid, when I bent down to retrieve it there was trash under the bathroom sink

Our stay at Comfort Inn went well. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. Our only problem was in our room, the air conditioner was very noisy and the carpet was very dirty and felt damp. The breakfast was good plenty of tables to sit at. We would stay here again.

The room was clean and comfortable. Front desk lady was professional but not overly friendly. We had to walk to connecting hotel for breakfast. But it was WORTH it. Food was great and hot. And they had a lot to pick from.Did not use the pool so I can't rate that.We got a good deal on the room price because we booked thru City Chambers of Tourism, lowest price I found. Would totally stay at this hotel again.

Main doors to rooms need sealing around them. Lots of light around them and lots mosquitoes and other flying insects in the room with leftover bug splatter on the walls. Old breakfast room was full of spiders and sand. (Which is to be expected but not to the extent it was.) - New breakfast set up is not convenient to walk through another Hotel.(Was not as the pictured in the website advertisement.)Front desk staff was not helpful unless asked and seemed to have an attitude of being bothered. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a beautiful view.
