The bathroom could stand to be updated. There was no place in the shower to hold soap or shampoo. The check in process seemed to take quite a long time but it was all correct. We realize that after one day, & call back to manager about the bag.I must say the hotel maintenance staff is very honest. And with in few days manager Michele send our bag back. We received an upgrade without asking for one. And, an employee chased down a luggage cart for us when we were getting ready to check out. Facility also does daily housekeeping, which we don't see everywhere anymore. Hotel located near one of the ferry lines and several restaurants. Only downside of this facility is it has one elevator for a large hotel. Accommodations were better than expected considering the exterior of the hotel appears aged and somewhat outdated. Walking distance to ferry, restaurants, and shopping. The breakfast was disappointing. It is a huge hotel and I noticed housekeeping cant keep up with cleaning rooms. More help should be hired to keep up with the cleaning of rooms in a timely manner.we stayed out of our rooms to give them time to clean. One day they cleaned in the late afternoon the other day we gave up because it took them too long so we just asked for fresh towels. The toiletries are such a joke. So small cant even read which is conditioner or shampoo if you need glasses. The free breakfast is nice but the quality of food could be better. Hotel could use a face lift.
