Our room was very clean (a little dated) with new carpet throughout! Every staff member we came in contact with were so very kind! Our beds were very comfortable and our party of 7 all said they slept great! We had a double suite room and it slept the 4 adults and 3 children perfectly! The bathtub was clean but scarred. Some of the fixtures need to be updated or replaced. One of the picture frames was badly broken. Breakfast was good and provided lots of choices.This hotel is conveniently located, a very short walk to Arnold Transit Ferry to Mackinac Island. This hotel was amazing, the kids never had a dull moment walking the city strip and every night spent hours in the pool :) and the complimentary breakfast was top notch! Ham, eggs, fruit, cereal, pancakes, bread an jelly, swirl cinnamon bread, bagels an cream cheese, 2 toasters a waffle maker!!! Milk, coffee, juice, water!!!! Like i was beyond impressed!!!! This is the second time I stayed there, was on motorcycle trips both times.The issue I ran into was that a few of us in our group got checked in and given keys only to find that the rooms were not cleaned yet. I did get a call earlier that day from the front desk asking when our aprroximate arrival time would be and I said between 3:30 and 4:00. We got checked in after waiting about 30 minutes, there were quite a few people checking in at the same time. It seems like there is communication problems between the front desk and the cleaning people preparing the rooms since when I went to my room and it was in the process of being cleaned the housekeeper told me that she did not tell the front desk that the room was clean.Again overall good stay I just think there needs to be a better system in place so guests aren't walking into a dirty room or one that is in the process of being cleaned.These comments are from a verified stayDid you find this helpful?|4 out of 5 stars

So, we actually landed a better layout than what we actually booked. We did take advantage of the included breakfast offerings a couple of mornings just to get us the door. You might like it if you are budge minded.(We prefer stronger coffee, healthier and more flavorful options.) The internet was a bit quirky, but we were able to use it most of the time. Left my beach towel behind, & the lady at the front desk was not very helpful about getting it back to me; called 3 times, and came back to ask about it, & in the end, they said they couldnt find it.
