There are many hotel/motel choices in Mackinaw. We are happy we chose Bayside...everything was clean and comfortable and we would stay again. Ido recommend washing the windows....to look out them and look at the beautiful view was hindered by the "stuff" on them.

We enjoyed the perks that came with the room. We liked the waterpark next door and the bogo breakfast buffet coupons. We will stay here again if we return to the area.The remote for the tv in the room did not work too well.

The hotel was clean, peaceful, close to the ferry and within walking distance of restaurants and other places of business in Mackinaw City. Also close to the water. The staff at the front desk were polite and cheerful, especially the gentleman who checked us in. We were given discount coupons for nearby restaurants. Check in and check out was an easy process as was making the reservation. The rooms were clean. There's a game room and pool/waterpark area. All in all it was a very pleasant stay and reasonably priced. We would make reservations here again.

The Morning breakfast was really nice. I stayed at Mackinac City Hamilton hotel instead since Bayside motel was closed for the Fall Season. I stayed in Mackinac City instead since St. Ignace, Michigan is a lot more expensive. Thanks.

We stayed at the Bayside inn hotel it was very nice they had updated all there rooms and had renovated the hotel by even putting in new carpet on there floors even in the hallway and you could smell the new paint. It was a very nice and refreshing place to stay everything was clean and nice. I would recommend this place for anyone to stay at. I will definitely be back again soon.

Clean comfortable rooms. Allows pets, but needs to have a designated pet rooms area, shared with hotel staff. Someones pet was let out by hotel staff when cleaning. Because outside sliding doors were stuck open, dog escaped building but was found by local police. Poor dog was safely returned to owners, who were quite understandably upset. Front entrance needs to be fixed for general safety.

5 stars for the literal first 20 minutes we were there. Then the power went out. The entire night was chaos with barking dogs from every direction in the hotel. It got cold and it was dark. It was pretty intimidating until the sun came up.

The hotel is dated and in need of refreshing but it was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to shops and restaurants. The ferry shuttle picked us up and returned us to the hotel for free. The main disappointment was the pool and spa area at the neighboring hotel which was available to use. The pool water was cloudy, and the spa jets did not work. The entire room had mold growing on the floors, walls and windows. We did not use any of the pool area.

The rooms were adequate for a nights stay. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious for two people. Some complaints I have include the small TV, the dirty faucet in our bathroom, and the drain in the shower was REALLY dirty although you couldnt tell unless u put a washrag over it. The white washrag was a poopy brown after coming into contact with the shower drain.

Nice clean hotel. The only drawback to me was no coffee offered in main lobby, only 6:30am to 10:30am. Yes, thete a mini coffee pot in the motel room, which I would have had to use in the bathroom as the lights, phone,TV cable and clock took all available outlets. I didn't feel like walking to the nearest coffee shop when a lobby was right downstairs. I would have been willing to pay for my coffee in the lobby, but none there.

We have stayed at the Bayside on prior trips so we know what to expect.Reception was fine and the receptionist helped us reconnect the TV as it was not working when we arrived at our suite. She was most accommodating.We expect limited options for dining as May is obviously low season and many of your facilities are still shut down. Mackinaw City is a nice way to break our trip into two days going to Wisconsin and heading home to Canada,ThanksJohn

The hotel clerk was very nice and very accommodating. The hotel was clean. The lobby was very cold because the doors were left open all the time. When I walked in the lobby, there was nothing welcoming about it. Probably because any hotel Ive ever stayed in always had gift type items for sale , hot coffee, tea, or cocoa for guests. it was just stark kind of empty. Only furniture in the lobby. The walls in the room were very thin or not well insulated because we could hear what people were saying next door.

The hotel is clean and the staff very friendly but, the rooms could use some updates. The Murrow in the bathroom had a large section where the silvering had failed for example. There is only one plug under the night table between the beds so you can choose between having all the built-in lights on the headboards work, having the clock work or plugging in a CPAP machine.

We didnt use the pool so I cant speak for that area. Check in was fine. The room was clean. After reading some other reviews of this place I was nervous. The room was way overpriced, but so are the majority of hotels in this area. No breakfast, which was disappointing. There are 2 overpriced breakfast places within walking distance.
