We were first put in a courtyard room. It was very old, small, needed some love AND had no heat on a cool night. Thankfully they moved us to a main building room which was very nice! Lose the courtyard rooms!

Bathroom definitely needed some new caulking and no drain stop to use to give kids a bath. It felt like the ferry prices jumped quite a bit from the prior year and we spent more money on the ferry than we did on the island or at the hotel. Ridiculous cost for a ferry ticket when there is no competition. Only reason we didn't cancel our trip when seeing the ferry price was we had already booked a non-refundable hotel room. Won't be coming back for many years.

This was a good rate for our two night stay. I appreciated that it was pet-friendly, since we were traveling with our dog. The location was within walking distance (1 mile) from most things and it was situated right on the beach.

The price was excellent for this quiet, peaceful, safe hotel with a view of the Straits of Mackinac. We enjoyed the indoor heated pool. The staff was friendly and very responsive to our needs however, it was an older facility with some minor maintenance issues.

I enjoyed the look of the hotel and wished I had rented one of the little motel type rooms with the back decks. The staff was friendly and out of my week long trip, it was one of the nicest Choice Hotel that I stayed at. It was clean and the staff was friendly.

The stay was nice! Beautiful lake side view! If air conditioner was running the room smell was not bad. But air conditioner only had a high speed so had to turn it off because it got cold in the room. Then the room did have a old smell to it. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable and for price compared to other hotels it did the job for us. If you are not wanting to break the bank I would recommend. If you are expecting high quality then spend double the money. we were pleased with our stay.

The location was perfect. The water front views were so pretty morning and night. The front desk was very helpful regarding places to eat and activities. The coupons offered, saved us alot of money. We would highly recommend this hotel. We will be back.

We liked the suite layout and space, but there were a few things in need of repair. There is no breakfast. You have to exchange used towels and wash clothes at the main office. No maid service is offered during the duration of your stay. We were there four nights.

Our room was mostly clean (the important parts), and the refrigerator, microwave, and TV all worked. We were on the 3rd floor, and the slider didn't lock, but we weren't too worried about it. (Although that should be a priority to fix.) The workers at the desk were friendly. The website says it has breakfast, but it does not. We enjoyed the view from our room, which was on Lake Huron. Our kids enjoyed the (free) indoor waterparks at the sister hotels, although they were really bummed the giant slide wasn't available. The indoor pool looked cloudy, and the hot tub wasn't working, so we didn't use them, but that didn't spoil our day.

Associate at the check in desk was wonderful. She helped us with many of our questions and saved us $$$ by offering a service of ferry ride to the island, leaving our car at the hotel, and transportation to and from the ferry. Our large room was very clean, awesome lake front viewjust as advertised and better.

The suite was great, it could have had a table and chairs. Paper dispenser in the bathroom was missing with screw holes in the wall, but plenty of paper was supplied. Room was clean except for some cobwebs in the high corners and the bathroom doorway. We loved the ability to sit out on the balcony overlooking the lake. We would go back.

The place is ok just not the greatest. We loved being on the water but the room needs a lot of work. Room was dusty, had a few spots of mold in the bathroom and also right above the sliding door was a couple ceiling tiles that also had what looked like mold and was sagging down. The shower was very hard to turn on. And some of the lights didn't work. There was a overfull garbage can outside our room that was never emptied. The place has potential just needs a little more updating and cleaned a little more

The sliding door was extremely hard to close the bathroom tub was gross/dirty and in poor shape. Tiles in the pool were missing and hot tub was broken. To expensive for the quality we got.

Room was clean. Updates and repairs are desperately needed. Front office staff was very nice. Fun location with beachNO breakfast buffet/bar as we were told. We would have made other arrangements. We were lied to. A note was placed on the door to go to a neighboring hotel. The neighboring hotel said go to the Quality Inn. Very disappointed

Customer service was great. Rooms were dated but clean. Sliding door to balcony was so very hard to open and close. Didnt like that there was no dead bolt on the door for security. Very nice view and comfortable beds.

I think that the price point and the location are the two best things about the Quality Inn & Suites in Mackinaw City!The location is a little dated, and some upkeep is needed, but, overall, we were happy with the room. It was clean and the view was great, and the room was very spacious! Would we stay here again? Probably! Overall, not terrible, overall, not the greatest!
