THE ROOM WAS FINE AND THE GIRLS DID A GOOD JOB OF CLLEANING THE ROOM. THE BREAKFAST WAS GOOD AND THE LOCATION WAS GREAT AS WE COULD WALK TO A LOT OF THE ATTRACTIONS.

Whenever I come to Mackinaw City I also stay at the Best Western Dockside. It started years ago I came for my Wedding Anniversary and every since whenever I come I stay there. the place is just execellent place to stay, great location and the staff is always friendly and willing to assist. I recommend it to anyone who say they are going to visit Mackinaw city.

The room was spacious and clean; the employees were very courteous and accommodating. The only criticism we would have is that the sink area in the room affords no privacy. We prefer these areas of the room to have complete privacy. Other than that we were happy; excellent location.

Due to previous quests trashing our originally assigned room, we were given an upgrade to a 2 room suite on the waterfront at no extra cost. Room was very clean and convenient to the downtown area. Breakfast buffet was great. Enjoyed our stay and will return.

We were very pleased with our accomodations. We had an excellent view of Lake Huron and Mackinac Island. The room was clean and the housekeeping service was very good. We came during the late time of year when it wasn't crowded so that added to our enjoyment, even with all the rain. I should also add that the breakfast buffet was very good and an added benefit.

We arrived in the middle of the night and the front desk folks were very helpful and cheerful despite the odd hour. The room was spacious and comfortable and a great value (though I'm sure some of that is that it was off-season). There was very limited parking because of a full house and our late arrival, and, again, the front desk was very helpful in solving that. The breakfast which was included was very nice with a wide selection of items and a comfortable setting. We were actually only there for about 5 hours - but we thought it was excellent. I would definitely stay there again.

Dockside Waterfront was a really nice location - a beautiful beach and view of of the waterfront from our balcony - but the interior finishings appeared "dated" especially the bathroom fixtures. We also appreciated the central location of the facility which allowed us to walk to the shopping and eating areas. The breakfast area was much appreciated - it was fully stocked and clean and is a good selling point. The other amenities such as workout room and pool with jacuzzi were excellent.

Originally I had booked a room with the water view (which I shouldn't complain we did get), but it was on the floor below the ground & the last room closest to the street. It did have a view, however we had to go outside to see the water. It wasn't bad, but I guess I should've been more specific on what I'd hoped for. I'd hoped for an upper floor with a balcony where we could sit out & have coffee in the morning & sit out & watch the sunset. I asked if we could be switched, but there were no more rooms. The hotel was nice, but not too crazy about the breakfast. It is great that it was complimentary, but didn't know that we'd have to walk up so many stairs & we're not spring chickens anymore, to get it. It tasted alright, but not very impressed. We would stay there again, but this time indicate exactly the room I'd like. We liked the fact that it was the closest hotel to the downtown area & the Irish Pub! We were in there every night! It is within walking distance of a lot of places. I like having the balcony to sit on. The continental breakfast was good, but very crowded and the lines were too long. Maybe if you had someone making up the waffles and people could just take them from a plate.

Room was average. We had an issue with the heat and went to the front desk. The person we spoke to kept her eyes on her computer and never gave her full attention to what we were telling her. However Larry the maintenance guy was great!! Very friendly and solved the problem. We were there in very cold weather and the doors to the rooms opened to the open air. I rather have an inside corridor.
