We had a wonderful time in Mackinac. Our cabin was cozy, service was fabulous, staff were hospitable and our breakfast was delicious. When I booked our cabin, I said this was our 35th wedding Anniversary and it was a tough year for us. My wife was diagnosed with cancer and I wanted to make this trip extra special. The staff at Cabins of Mackinac went up and above for us. They upgraded our cabin, brought my wife an extra blanket and helped us find a great restaurant that delivered to our cabin on that very windy and chilly evening. My wife loved our cabin and had tears of joy. I knew I made the right decision to stay in the cabins. We hope to return soon and with a heart of gratitude, I say Thank You.

My husband and I had a great time. Very unique and more fun then the confines of a room. We stayed in a 2-Story cabin just as pictured but take note the smaller cabins are older and in the back of the newer ones in the photo. We travel with our bikes and were able to keep them locked on the porch, a great plus for us. Walking distance to most everything and a ferry across the street. Even had a bit of a view sitting on the porch. The breakfast was very good-nice selection. This would be a perfect place to stay with kids, especially teenagers that are ready for a little independence. Plus 3 TVs-and enough room to just hangout, play games etc. My only concern would be the jacuzzi/shower. An older or less agile person may have difficulty getting in and out as this is a combined unit. Other then that--perfect.

Would easily give an outstanding except our 1st. night (our 35th) we had to stay in the hotel (not as nice as the cabins). Had a good time, we had 3 cabins for the family.

We have stayed at the comfort suites next door many times. We usually get a two bedroom suite on the lower floor, those rooms are great for a family with kids. We notice the new cabins next door before so we decide to try one of the two story cabins this time. The Econo lodge and the Comfort Suites are tied in together so you still have axces to the indoor pool and water park as well as the free breakfast above the water park every morning your there. The 2 story cabin has 1 bedroom with a king bed downstairs as well as a living area with fridge and micro wave, queen bed up stairs (Loft) and a very large bathroom downstairs with a very large jacuzzi tub and shower. Has a TV upstairs and down stairs as well as one in the down stairs bedroom. This style cabin is perfect for four people. If you do book here and get one of the cabins make sure you book one of the new 2 STORY CABINS in the front. Any other cabin will be one of the older ones in the back. By the reviews ive read it looks like alot of people are expecting a new 2 story when they book because thats all the web site shows. They need to be a little more specific on their web site. It would be nice if the cabin had a coffee table. It would also be nice if the couch was a hide a bed. The last the last time we stayed the jacuzzi in the pool area only had 1 jet that was any good...this has since been fixed..THANKS!!! The area rug in the living room of cabin # 306 could use a good cleaning..Besides that everything was great! We will stay there again!

The cabins are beautiful! Exactly as shown in the pictures on the website. Everything was clean and well kept, all 3 TVs had DVD players in them, the hot tub bathtub was huge!! We stayed a week just the two of us, but we plan to go back with friends, as the cabin has 3 large beds. Great location, we were able to walk right across the street and onto a ferry, nice little walk to the shops and restaurants. The breakfast bar was very tasty (but it closed at 10am, and we missed it a few times by sleeping in a little too long). We highly recommend staying here, and can't wait to go back ourselves!

Overall my stay was fine. The one improvement I would like to see is a key drop box for early departure. They request you drop the key off at the office when you leave but there is no one there before 7:00 am.

We arrieved earlier than the rest of our group. When reservations were made, I did not indicate we were with a large group and our cabin was far away from our groups cabin. They moved us close, no questions asked!!! We will be back next year!!!

2 story cabins are the best. All other cabins do not have microwave, nor much space. I did enjoy my stay,and would rent the 2 story again. The water park is for little kids, but they do have an outdoor pool big enough for adults. Breakfast was just like any Continental breakfast. It was ok. Great location from the shopping strip.

The cabins were extremly nice; however parts of the cabin seemed to be unfinished. I know that these were just built last year. The floor of the loft seemed unfinished. It was also sparcly furnished in the loft, being that there are no closets there should at least be a dresser. Othere than these two things the cabins were gorgeous. Very clean as well. We will be staying here again.

Despite the squeeky door the cabins are great. The sofa beds are not comfortable at all even for small people. Cleaning needs to be done above eye level - cabin 301 has cob webs(spider webs) in the window wells. If I could have I would have taken the cabin home with me.

New...kids loved the layout.... Ceiling fan was not working, but weather was cool anyway. Some cobwebs in second story windows....hard to get at I know..... Internet connection was slower and more erratic than expected...nothing that ruined the rating. Breakfast was great

We have no complaints, we are from Richmond MI, we arrived on Thursday and left on Saturday my family and I had an awesome time, we purchased the family package well worth the money, the staff at the hotel were just awesome, our girls just loved the water park, I have not been to Mackinaw City since I was 7 and Iam 39 now my family used to drive up from Burton MI at least three to four times during the summer, My husband had not been up to Mackinaw since he was a teenager it was so nice to be able to take our girls and make some wonderful memories with them like our parents made with us. Keep up the good work your chamber of commerce has an awesome website, found you through pure michigan. I have been fortunate enough to be able to travel to other states but I have lived in Michigan all my life and am proud to call this beautiful state we live in home :O)

The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast bar and the pool area. The location was excellent, we walked everywhere we went. The only complaint we had was the cabin we stayed in, the floor was very uneven and it didn't feel like there was a floor underneath the bath tub. Otherwise, we had a very good time!

This was as explained... 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Have to say they were outstanding ... for the price We were lucky and were assigned the cabin at the end of the last row, next to the play area and waterpark. This location made it great for the kids. The Waterpark was a true delight. Would definitely stay here again.

On the good side, we found our cabin to be newly paneled yet that left a pile of sawdust in the front yard, as well as a random garden hose. The woman in the office whom we checked in with was not very friendly, especially when we asked for a late check out. Luckily a gentleman who was also in the office stepped in and said that would be alright. Considering the value though, and the waterpark and hot breakfast, we would stay again.

Was a nice place, it was actually an econolodge and there's no sign that says cabins of mackinaw so was a little confusing. the may flies in the area were horrible but they did a good job keeping them out of the rooms.

We had a great experience at the Cabins of Mackinaw! The cabin was very up-to-date with flat screen tv's which included a DVD player, mini fridge, and jacuzzi. They were very clean and big enough for two families of four to share. Centrally located and walking distance to ferry's, shops, restaurants, etc. The only draw back was there weren't many grocery stores in town with good quality meats and fair prices. We love to BBQ and had to drive 15 miles to find a Super Wal-Mart, for more variety and better prices. Mackninac Island, is a must see! It's better to just rent bikes or horse carriages to get arround. We took our own bikes, but found out you would be charged a fee to take bikes onto ferry and you also needed a license. We opted to rent bikes on the Island. Also, be ready to have slow service. We are from Chicago and "fast" is our middle name. We are use to prompt and good service and various restaurants in Mackinaw, did lack in that department. Overall our experience was great! We would defintely be back again! Thank you for you another great memory for our family.

This was a wonderful little cabin with a really spacious bathroom! The only thing that would have improved our experience would be window coverings for the front windows. Anyone sleeping in the loft was awake as soon as the sun came up in the morning.

The new cabins are fantastic. They were very comfortable, well equiped and spacious (we had 4 adults and 4 children in one cabin). The staff was very polite and water park/pool area alot of fun. We will definately stay here again.
