The first cabin we were in did not have proper A/C for the size of the unit and the existing one was quite loud. We moved after the first night to a two story cabin which was much better and really made the trip enjoyable. The staff worked really well with us and made sure to take care of us without trouble. We really loved the proximity to restaurants and the ferry boats as well.

We thought we were getting a room with an stairs. It turned out we got a small cabin instead. Room needed an update, carpet was worn out, sink was slow to drain and was missing a plug. Maid service was not good, she did not clean very well. No microwave in the room.

Staff was so very pleasant and accommodating with our special needs. Some people love the big 5 star motels, I am one that love the quaint, front door park and enter our room.I love the small, quaint, cabins VS the big motels, easy in, easy out.I would most def stay there again in the summer.

The place was nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. The cabin could have had better lighting and more furniture. It is advertised to sleep six and there were only three chairs and a couch in the whole place. The loft bedroom had no dresser or chair. The table in the main room of the cabin was much too small for us to eat around. Other than that, it was an OK stay.

Absolutely filthy hotel! Would never recommend. Walk in and back out in less than a minute. Immediately left city and drove 3 1/2 hours home with 3 small children! Terrible experiencetoo much to describe here.

They could have cleaned the cobwebs off the ceiling and wall above the beds. People there were friendly. Not only that there was a lot of dust on the air conditioner so didn't dare to turn it on or the heat. But overall it was nice but I wouldn't get a small cabin again. I would go with a bigger one next time.

We reserved a private cabin. It wasn't exactly what I expected. When we pulled in I thought it would be one that faced the water but it was behind those nice log cabins and it was a smaller cabin. But the cabin was clean, could have vacuumed a little closer to the bed and corners, shower was for a Hobbit, nice for me at 5 ft, but husbands is taller. We got a chuckle about that, but no maintenance issues. Good location, price was right, really no complaints.

What meant by a very pleasant woman for check-in who informed me of places to eat and hours of pool and hot tub opening. On check out the same very pleasant receptionist gave me a gift with a code on it to look to see if I had one another vacation. The room was quiet and clean, the hot tub was hot. Our stay was very nice because of the nice hotel.

No Kleenex and just bath towels, no hand towels or wash cloths. AC Unit was very loud and turned on frequently as heating the room. Carpeting wasnt very clean or nice looking. Would like to see he cabins in front to stay in. Office was locked in morning to checkout and get receipt. Left key across the road

Small but comfortable. Toilet to close to tub and shower head to low. But good water pressure. Everything was clean and staff were courteous. Nice to drive and park right outside room in lodge section. Further back from the water than I thought but no biggie.

The stay was fine but if the chamber is going to sell hotel night and packages they need to put in the email how you acquire the tickets from the packages! And pick up the damn phone! I wont be purchasing through the chamber again. Ill go direct.

The outside light was broken making it very dark to approach the cabin at night. There was not a smoke detector in the cabin and I needed to call maintenance for one. Maintenance was very quick to respond and hung a detector for us. The cabin was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We did not have a chance to check out the swim park but it looked like fun!

I always wanted to stay in one of the front cabins at Mackinaw at this motel complex, and I finally was able to do so. They are just adorable, from the knotty pine paneling to the great little pictures (and one gorgeous wall wood sculpt), to all the rustic furniture. The loft is wonderful and quiet, and in the morning the sun comes over Lake Michigan and shines through the triangle windows across from the loft. I arrived early, and my receptionist made a special trip out to the second cabin from the right to see if it was ready so I could have a great view of the lake across the street. The jacuzzi was the icing on the cake. They are pricey, but off season and with extra occupants not so bad--I would go back in a heartbeat regardless--and will.
