What meant by a very pleasant woman for check-in who informed me of places to eat and hours of pool and hot tub opening. On check out the same very pleasant receptionist gave me a gift with a code on it to look to see if I had one another vacation. The room was quiet and clean, the hot tub was hot. Cabins Of MackinacCabins of Mackinac Dana J from Montrose stayed in September 2023I always wanted to stay in one of the front cabins at Mackinaw at this motel complex, and I finally was able to do so. They are just adorable, from the knotty pine paneling to the great little pictures (and one gorgeous wall wood sculpt), to all the rustic furniture. The loft is wonderful and quiet, and in the morning the sun comes over Lake Michigan and shines through the triangle windows across from the loft. I arrived early, and my receptionist made a special trip out to the second cabin from the right to see if it was ready so I could have a great view of the lake across the street. The jacuzzi was the icing on the cake. They are pricey, but off season and with extra occupants not so bad--I would go back in a heartbeat regardless--and will.These comments are from a verified stay5 people found this helpful. TV in living room never worked but we didnt come to area to stay indoors. Would be nice to have a couple cabins hold up to 8 by adding bunk beds or pull out folding beds upstairs. Did you find this helpful?|Stayed in the two story loft cabin. It was great! Clean with a lot of room. We loved it. Beds are good. Only thing is the inside walls and floor on loft to bedroom below is thin as paper, just saying if you have giggling 15 year old girls you can here them all night Its across the street from Starline ferry, so 5 min walk to the loading dock. Our request to stay close to pool was honored no problem!! Pools were pretty clean. Also there were way too many spiders outside on the cabin porch and around the outdoor pool area. Its so quite and beautiful in the lodge and the fireworks on Friday and Sunday along with the water parks were great additions to our stay! Did you find this helpful?|Excellent location, walkable to anything, including shops, restaurants, ferry docks. It is a rustic location, so be prepared. Toiletries, bath towels, and bed sheets are provided. All other items need to be brought, so prepare accordingly (paper plates, etc). Pool, beach access, and a kid-friendly water park is available, too. We had a kitchenette in ours, which includes a fridge, microwave, and sink. A great place to stay if youre looking for a no frills standard room thats comfy and clean. Its directly across from Star Line ferry.
