Did you find this helpful?|We arrived early and thankfully they were able to let us check in at 1pm instead of 4pm. The only issue we had is that the cleaning service needs to be more thorough. The bigger room had a small table with a drawer where the tv sat and there was trash in the drawer from previous guests. Also, our bathroom wasn't most clean intentionally. We informed front desk that the bathroom hadn't been cleaned 100% and they quickly got someone over to clean it very well. As a suggestion to them, a channel list would have been great. One day because of rain we spent more time in our cabin. The 6yr old kept flipping to find channels they had which some they didn't have. Another suggestion to help improve is to give thier older cabins some TLC. There was chipped paint on some of the cabins, not all decks had tables and chairs, and there was alot of webs on the outside. Cabins Of MackinacCabins of Mackinac Elizabeth from The Colony stayed in June 2020Good location, great area. A few spiders in the room but to be expected being in a cabin. Only thought was staff didn’t have all answers to certain questions. Cabins Of MackinacCabins of Mackinac Sally from Elk Grove Village stayed in July 2019Everything went well. Our cabin was smaller than we than we expected. When selecting 2 queen beds, I thought would be in the same room. They were not. The rooms with beds very hard to get around literally inches from the wall and no space for a table to set phone and eye glasses. The bedrooms didn't have enough space hanging clothes but the drawers in the main room had space. It was nice having large fridge and full size microwave. The pool and water park were also very nice. Great location. We had a problem with the payment but the manager hung with it until the problem was resolved. I wish there would have been a place to hang clothes and a couple of outlets by the beds. A little noisy between floors.
