Excellent!

Conveniently located on Huron Street, the Comfort Inn Lakeside is within walking to all that Mackinaw City has to offer, including the Mackinaw Island ferryboats, Mackinaw Crossings, downtown shops, theaters, outdoor concerts, restaurants, and a free laser light show.

Located on Lake Huron, the Comfort Inn Lakeside is one of Mackinaw City's finest. Excellent for swimming and sunbathing, our private sandy beach features a large sundeck and beach furniture. Enjoy the cool, sparkling water and the most fantastic views of Mackinac Island, the Island ferryboats, and the many beautiful and interesting sights and sounds of the famous Straits of Mackinac.

An elegant blend of colonial and traditional themes creates a comforting, relaxing atmosphere at the Comfort Inn Lakeside. All of our guest rooms offer two queen or one king-sized bed. Many of the rooms offer private balconies overlooking the lake, and in-room whirlpools are also available. A deluxe continental breakfast is served each morning on the lakefront. Refrigerators, telephones, PC hook-up and remote control flat screen televisions are standard in all our accommodations. For our guests' enjoyment, we also have an indoor swimming pool and the largest indoor whirlpool in Mackinaw City.

Hotel was great and breakfast was great. lady working breakfast area was very nice. front desk people were pretty rude, and we had to ask them for the wristbands. luckily we are pretty laid back but wow. nice room, great view!

It was a very nice room and right off the water. the breakfest was very nice too had great weather also the room was clean just fwish it had a flat screen tv in the room would of had the whole dresser also wished it had another bench to sit on too but over all would stay there again..

Hard to rate as outstanding as we were only there one night. Staff seemed friendly, room was very nice. Breakfast room too small and crowded so we went to a restaurant. I would definitely stay there again. Beautiful location and good rate. I wish you have a rating between good and outstanding. Definitely VERY GOOD.

Nice room! Kids enjoyed the pool in the evening. Good location. We walked to the furthest Mackinaw Island fairy (Shepplers) and it was a short 10 minute walk. Breakfast bar was lacking in space to move around (but don't they all), and lack of healthy choices. However, I value the room cleanliness and quietness enough to rate "Outstanding". We would stay there again.

The view from our balcony of the hotel's beach and lake Michigan was wonderful. The staff were very helpful answering all our questions. The room was lovely, a good size and clean. We will definitely choose the same hotel for our next stay in Mackinaw City. Only suggestion for improvement: while the breakfast was wonderful, some boxes for taking breakfast to one's balcony would be a nice addition, especially since the breakfast room is a little small.

We stayed in a beachfront room and the view was amazing! The room was clean and very spacious. The free breakfast was also very good. Waking up early and hitting the breakfast room early was the key. We sat on our porch over looking the beach while we ate our breakfast. We also had free passes to an indoor waterpark at another hotel which was less than five minutes walking, which are 2 children loved. All in all, it was a great visit and look forward to visiting again soon. The hotel was right in the middle of everything and within walking distance to it all. We loved it!!

Our stay was better than expected. The staff was very friendly and made us feel like valued guests. We were given a room upgrade for one night of our stay which was above and beyond. The hotel beach was fantastic and not too crowded and the free breakfast by the beach was very pleasant. The hotel was a close walk to downtown Mackinaw City and the ferry lines. All in all it was a great stay and we will do it again.

The hotel offered only a modest hot free breakfast. Each night, children were running up and down the exterior walkways, knocking on doors, and running off. This continued each night until at least 11 pm. Hotel was located in a beautiful location. Outdoor swimming was excellent.

Comfort Inn Lakeside was a very good experience. The location was perfect! The breakfast was everything that we had expected. The only thing was that the hotel did not provide klennexes not hair conditioner. Our experience at Mackinaw City area was wonderful. We would love to go back when we can stay longer. We had never made the trip to the upper part of We had vacationed in southern michigan years earlier and did not know what to expect. We were really pleased with every aspect of our trip. Towns were clean and friendly and our motel was excellent. I have always had a problem with making reservations for lodging sight unseen. The Comfort Inn exceeded our expectations and was well worth the price of the room. The local resturants were also excellent. Thank you for a wonderful vacation and we will come again with our famil to vacation there.

It was a wonderful place to stay for our family and a perfect location. We also had wonderful service and would stay their again, especially for the price! The only things that kept it from being outstanding, were 1. the ice machine on our level was not working, and 2. the breakfast area was extremely small and crowded.

No problems, but we did find the breakfast area too small for the number of people wanting to eat there and not in their room. Perhaps it was not meant to be a sit down breakfast area, but solely for the food to be taken back to one's room. Food was good. The housekeeping staff were excellent. Efficient, friendly, and very pleasant.
