The staff was extremely polite and helpful. The hotel is very relaxing and clean. I would recommend to friends/family that they should stay there. I would not hesitate to stay again on a future vacation. Only 2 complaints and they are minor. A lack of elevators in the hotel. Long waits for elevator service and no elevator up to the fourth floor. Also, 2 of the 3 ice machines I located were not working during our entire stay. If not for the above, I would have rated our stay as outstanding. However, as I stated earlier, I would definately stay here again.

Everything about the Hamilton Inn was excellent, from the check-in personal, to our room, the pool. The only thing we felt could have made our breakfast experience better, was a higher temperature in the room. Everyone was complaining that it was too cold.

We arrived to check in at at 4:30pm on Sunday July 17. Our room was not ready the staff because of this upgraded our room from a standard waterfront balcony room to a Deluxe Balcony Room (RM 249) Since we were staying until Friday July 22nd the upgrade was appreciated. Angelita was the person assigned to our room and took great pride into making sure our stay was pleasant. Angelita was respectful and professional we felt like honored guests. I have since referred others to the hotel because of our experence. Keep up the good work!

We were very pleased with our stay at the Hamilton Inn Select Beachfront. Our room was neat and clean and the bed was comfortable. We especially enjoyed the jacuzzi and the TV in the bathroom. The only suggestion I can offer is the need for the shower to have a light, as it was very dark. Again, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return visit. Thank you.

Good, clean, comfortable lake view suite. Overall, a very nice room that I would have rated "good" if not for some unusual design features in the bathroom such as no lighting for the shower area and only a small, broken soap dish (no space for bottles of shampoo, etc.).

Outstanding was a consideration as we did have a very good time. The pool area had a very noisy exhaust fan and the doors were locked so the screens could not function to provide some relief from the extreme humidity and heat in there. We actually used the Comfort inn fire pit and outside eating area as our hotel did not provide one. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We arrived early so was given the opportunity to upgrade to a suite for a reasonable amount of money. We loved the room, the breakfast & the beautiful view. Would go back in a minute and have told our freinds of the great experience we had!!! The staff was very helpful as well.

Clean rooms, decent breakfast (would of enjoyed a wider selection of fruit) Stairways had an unpleasant odor. Pool was highly clorinated along with a very loud buzzing noise in the pool room. Otherwise, the hotel was a nice facility with nice employees.

Everyone was very friendly and the entire hotel was clean. My family makes an annual trip to Mackinaw, and I usually try to stay at a different hotel each time, however I will definately be coming back to Hamilton. The location was great as well. Can't wait to come back!

We had a beautiful room (suite with jaccuzi tub) that overlooked the lake. Nice balcony too that we could sit on in the evening and watch our kids play in the sand. Nice hotel, nice staff. The breakfast bar that is included with the stay is not that good but if you only want coffee and a small snack it's ok. No bacon, just sausage patties and would run out of food a lot. People would "mob" the breakfast like they had never seen food before so just be prepared.

I received a call about 5:00PM telling me that the room was ready and did we still want it. When we arrived the suite was nothing like the one pictured on the website. We looked out into the parking lot not the beach. We had one bottle of shampoo for 7 people and no towels. When we asked at the desk they very promptly apologized and took care of the matter. Our stay was three nights and all three days we had to ask about shampoo. We thought the breakfast bar was excellent. We did find the staff very helpful and the rooms/hotel was very clean. One in our group had been a housekeeper so this was a big item for her. All in all it was a very nice visit and we would stay at the Hamilton Inn if we came to visit Mackinaw City again.

My family & I had no complaints what so ever.. Breakfast was great--Your employees were all very pleasant--Our rooms were very clean and very well taken care of during our stay We hope to get back to your area again!! We also liked the idea of the boat line(Star) right next store to the hotel, less walking on our return from Mckinaw.. Keep up the good work.

We had an awesome stay at the Hamilton. It was very convenient to the dock to Macinac Island, right next door. Staff was very accomodating gettting us into our room early. We were upgraded to a whirlpool tub room for an additional $20 because our room was not ready. The only problem I had was that we had to pay for the upgrade. Otherwise, we had a great stay and will come back again. Macinaw City is a great place to visit, with so much to do. We will return every year that we are able to. We come for the Macinac Race from Port Huron.

Room was very nice, clean, beds were comfortable, air conditioning was quiet. Bathroom had been remodeled but no light in the shower and shower fixtures were not attached securely. Rate was fair for the value. Good breakfast bar. Hotel conveniently located next to ferry. If we were to come back to Mackinaw City, we would most likely stay at this hotel again.

Convenience to all major attractions in the city, with ferry service to Machinac Island on site. Availability of several swimming pool and waterpark makes it even more enjoyable for the whole family. Private beach was excellent!

The hotel and beach are very nice and we enjoyed the breakfast. We were disappointed that our room was not ready at check-in time. We had to wait over an hour and a half for it to be completed. We had our grandchildren, ages 4 and 6, with us...so that made it tough. Perhaps they need more housekeeping staff.

This was our first time at Mackanaw City and the Island and we truly enjoyed it! Our room at the Hamilton Inn was right off the beach and always kept clean and tidy. The bed was really comfy and the rooms are quiet so we got great sleep every night. Breakfast was great every morning and we really liked the hallway with the indoor bike rack. It was nice knowing our bikes were inside, safely locked to the rack. Only thing that would have made it perfect was having some type of bar or patio to sit at in the evening for socializing. Thanks for a great stay and we will most definitely use the Hamilton again. Mary Jo M.

Extremely helpful and kind staff, especially Ingrid! Breakfast buffet was less than stellar, but that was not a high priority on my list. Room was clean and we were upgraded to a suite for a little more money and it was well worth it! No light in the shower was bothersome and the "hoarding" of luggage racks by guests on the night before they check out was unexpected childish behavior. Perhaps more luggage racks are needed. We stayed for a third night, as we were very comfortable there. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

We were very impressed with the Hamilton Inn. Our first impression was the cleanliness of the exterior of the hotel. Then we went into the lobby. The personnel at the front desk were very friendly and efficient. Then we went to our room. We had asked for a beachfront room and to our surprise actually got one. Not all hotels actually do that. The room was in the perfect location and really made our stay very enjoyable. Also, the proximity to the Star Ferry line was very convenient and much appreciated. All in all it was a perfect trip and we look forward to visiting Mackinaw City again.

From the front desk, housekeeping, friendly employees, to the breakfast buffet, I couldn't think of anything to make our stay more comfortable. Our room was as fresh the 2 additional nights we stayed as the first night we arrived. When we were checking out,housekeeping called to tell us about an item left in the room hoping to catch us before we left. The breakfast buffet had everything we wanted except bacon, but there was sausage.
