Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful lake side view. Wish there was continental breakfast. The tub has several areas of puddy repairing cracks and holes.

This is a very nice hotel with a beautiful view over the water and close to the Star Line Ferry and many places to eat. The people at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The cost was high.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They recommended the Hook when we asked for a referral for supper once they found out i liked seafood.The hotel lobby was clean and inviting. Our room was wonderful! It was very clean, everything was in excellent shape, there were lots of Towels, and the bed was very comfortable. We really loved the location and that it's right on the water.

Nice place, staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The Victorian motif was different from the usual, giving an old ritzy feel. Being right on the beach was nice, small beach but great view.

The room was clean and everything seemed to work well except the balcony door which was very hard to open and the screen kept falling off. The hotel clerk upon arrival abruptly announced that they were not serving breakfast. I believe that there should have been some adjustment credit to our stay for this being the website stated that breakfast was provided. The hotel was very nicely located with the city and walking was an option for almost everything we had planned.

The room and view was fantastic. The only complaint is the elevator only goes to the third floor so if you are on the fourth floor you do have stairs to take. Was a little difficult getting our luggage up the flight of stairs. But overall it was wonderful.

We had a lovely room that was clean and comfortable. Our view of the Straits of Mackinac was amazing especially the spectacular sunrises. The location made everything walkable…the ferry, restaurants, and shopping. We highly recommend The Dixie Salloon! We were disappointed that the 25 foot breakfast bar had been suspended for a grab an go breakfast bag. WiFi was very weak.

The room was very nice with a great view of the water. It was clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was the dim light in the bathroom and the noisy fan. Our other suggestion is to place signs pointing to which way the lobby is. It took me awhile to find it and finally had to ask someone where it was. Then, on my way back to our room, someone else asked me the same question. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Have to say we were disappointed in their services. Our room was wonderful, even got an upgrade. I had asked for top floor, however, we got second floor, which is better than bottom floor. When online making this reservation we were under the impression, plus in their web sight, there was a restaurant there and we would be getting breakfast with our room cost. There was no restaurant and no breakfast. Their little grab and go sacks only had a bottle of water, a small snack bar, and an apple. What is that? That was disappointing. The room was clean and comfortable. Plus after shopping on Thursday all afternoon, we just discovered our debit card has been hacked. At some point at some business, someone sold or took our cards information. We just had to call our bank and close out that account. We got notification some fraudulent charges got on our account by the fraud people at our bank. It has to be up in Mackinaw City as that was the only place we had been. Guess we won't be back for a long while to Mackinaw City.

Hotel was a nice place to stay location wise. However it seemed to me that it is an aging hotel and some of the rooms need to be remodeled to meet the price of the nightly cost. Also was planning to stay here with another individual who had reservations almost a full year and was unable to stay here due to rooms being cancelled before arrival. I on the other hand only reserved my room 1 week in advance and was able to stay. Seemed to me the earlier reservation should have prevailed over the last minute.
