Great location and I really like the rooms at this hotel too. Stayed here twice and never had any problem with the owner. A better breakfast would have earned the 5th star but nonetheless will return in the future.

We enjoyed everything about the Mackinaw Beach & Bay. The suite was extremely comfortable, and it was great to have a kitchenette to prepare food. We liked having a couch to relax on, and there was good lighting in both rooms. And, of course, having a balcony with a beach and bay view was a lot of fun. The breakfast was ample, and the staff was helpful and friendly, especially the manager, John.

Has WiFi in the room worked great with no problems and they always coffee in the lobby. Spacious rooms, the TV's could be slightly bigger but seldom used (no points off). In the workout room all equipment worked and was air-conditioned next to the pool & spa with a working TV to watch while working out. :)

The staff were great; we got into the room before we thought we could, so we could enjoy our package that was purchased online. the room was clean and nicely appointed; just what we wanted. I especially enjoyed the view of Mackinac Island and the Bridge from our room. The breakfast was very adequate. We will definitely consider this again when we come back to Mackinaw City.

The unit was very spacious and clean, with two bedroom areas, one with a sofa. In the middle of these was a large bathroom and convenient wet bar area with microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. The room had recently been redone with new carpets and bedspreads. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. I give it only four stars, based on the fact that the breakfast didn't have a great deal of variety. Other than that, it was a very comfortable place to stay and well-priced.

Clean hotel and very spacious. It was perfect for an overnight stay before heading to Mackinac Island. We never went to the beach from the hotel but did not look super nice from the balcony. The pool was nice and fairly clean. The hotel staff was not super friendly but they were never rude. Overall pleasant stay for the one night.

This was our second stay here and all expectations were met. The owner/manager even went above and beyond to accommodate us when he realized I was given an initial reservation via the Chamber of Commerce portal when they were actually booked that weekend. He immediately called me at home and offered us two connecting rooms for the price of one and I gladly accepted. When we arrived we learned there had been a cancellation and we ended up with one room with a king and two queens -- still more than I originally thought I was getting! We like this place because we have adult children who travel with us and with the suite, they get their own bed and privacy. I would not hesitate to recommend this place!

Huge room with three beds looking out onto the beach and lake! The brigpdge can be seen from the beach. Nice breakfast room and offerings. Wifi a bit slow, but we were the fastest room from the office so understandable! Will definitely stay here again! Great room for the price! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Room adequate and comfortable. Front desk staff exceptional ... friendly, attentive and helpful. Breakfast plentiful but could have had healthier options ... more fresh fruit, less heavy-gravy-covered-whatever-it-was. (I didn't taste it.) That said, I would still stay again if I return to Mackinaw City. The location was ideal. (BAD time for a visit due to the dense little bugs everywhere, but this was not the fault of the hotel:)

Although there was an electrical power outage just as we arrived for our pre-booked rooms, the receptionist, Mahalia Wright, was very calm and reassuring though the computers were down, and made sure we were comfortable with a drink of coffee while she and the manager worked on the problem. Our two families got upgrades to two suites. We were allowed to use the pool even though the pumps were not working. The rooms were above and beyond our expectations in cleanliness. We will stay here again if in the area.

We went up for our anniversary. Was surprised that the room was big enough for our whole family. We have 4 small children and it is very difficult to find a room that will accommodate us. We will definitely be back with our children. Enjoyed the beach. The hot breakfast was a nice surprise. Water park wristbands for the children will be a nice bonus!
