Although I reserved on line at the Super 8, we were upgraded to the Hamilton Inn. The hotel was very nice, clean rooms, great breakfast bar and perfect location. We enjoyed our stay, had a great time at the Winterfest, and enjoyed a terrific dinner at the Irish pub. We would recommend this hotel to friends.

Our arrival the first time, on or about Sept. 13, we had no difficulty finding the Super 8 Beachfront. Our check-in went very well, and we were very pleased with our room, and the very good breakfast we enjoyed the next morning. We were on our way to Winnipeg to visit family and would return about ten days later. We had no hesitation in booking this same hotel for our return trip.

THIS IS THE 2ND YEAR IVE STAYED THERE,OUR ROOM WAS ON THE BEACH,BEAUTIFUL VIEW,OUR ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN,AND EVERYTHING WAS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE.THE STAFF WAS GREAT,THERE BREAKFAST AREA COULD BE A LITTLE BIGGER,BUT OVERALL,WAS A WONDERFUL STAY!

Everyone was so nice. It's great to get excellent customer service. The front desk guest services were very friendly and helpful, and the free breakfast was delicious. Waffels all around.....the kids loved them. Great location and the best price I've ever got.

First time ever in the area. The hotel room was spacious, clean and comfortable, but not lavish. The location directly on the beach front, and with a balcony, was quite amazing and the price was extraordinary value! Despite being quite busy, there was little noise around the hotel. We had a quiet, good night's sleep. Things we especially liked: DVD player with TV; speed with which extra cot was delivered; balcony, beachfront; safe swimming; beach chairs; bon-fire pit; friendliness of staff in hallways and at check-out; beauty of area; proximity to shops, restaurants, entertainment, etc; reasonable distance to home. Things that made for good rating rather than outstanding rating: Continental breakfast seemed to be crowded into a rather small area behind the front lobby; front lobby quite small; staff a bit overly businesslike at check-in. We would be happy to stay again and plan on doing so in the near future. We've found a new destination for a short holiday.

Room was clean and well taken care of. The breakfast area was very small and crowded. Not sure if less tables would help, but hard to get in/out. Tried to do a bonfire, but no wood near the pit. Beach area was nice. There was supposed to be wifi; but from our room, we couldn't get a good connection, a second access point would have been nice.

EVERYONE FROM THE DESK STAFF,CLEANING PERSONNEL AND MAINTENANCE PEOPLE MADE OUR STAY VERY ENJOYABLE.THE ROOMS ARE CLEAN AND NEAT AND THE LOCATION IS PERFECT.ITS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO EVERYTHING(ISLAND FERRYS,DOWNTOWN AND RESTAURANTS.)NO NEED TO DRIVE AT ALL.WE GO TO MACHINAW CITY JUST ABOUT EVERY YEAR AND THIS WILL DIFINITELY BE OUR FIRST CHOICE IN THE COMING YEARS.THANKS SO VERY MUCH SUPER 8.

We enjoyed the balcony, view, beach and free breakfast. I have always been there in the fall when the rates are cheaper and have stayed at Best Western Dockside and last year Hamilton Inn. But coming in the summer we chose the Super 8 because of price. I was very satisfied with the room.

My only complaint is that I didn't spend enough time there. What a lovely location. MC is great for strolling: the pedestrian friendly village and the wonderful beach. The price was so fair, I will leave Florida again to be a tourist in Mackinaw City, Michigan next summer too. You've got it all over Disney!

The only thing we had to complain about was not enough coffee creamers in the room or office.My husband wanted to watch the basketball draft on ESPN but it must have been blacked out to get you to go to a bar in town. We enjoyed the view and size of the room.

It was a good stay things were clean and in order. front desk was a bit shaky when they couldn't keep straight who was in what room. Breakfast was good and the customer service was wonderful. I would recommend super 8 to all I know. I wish we had stayed longer.

The room was clean and the service very good. The continental breakfast was also very good, but was located in the adjacent hotel and we walked over in the rain one morning. This stay was in the "off" season and much of the city was shutting down for the season. This should be expected I suppose.

When I booked I thought I was booking the one by the bridge. Others in my party were not so happy and went somewhere else so I was stuck with three rooms to pay for. I can't remember her name but the woman who helped me was outstanding. She went out of her way to get one of the roome forgiven. The rooms were clean and neat.

Can't say enough nice things.. You can't do better and the price was perfect. Location perfect being so close to town, the Coast Guard Ice Breaker Museum and the star Line being right there and yet quiet and relaxing. The beach was clean, chairs, table, and swing along with a pit for a bond fire was a great touch. would recommend it to anyone and especially those with children. Help was very friendly. They could use a little more parking space. Our room said a view of the island (couldn"t see it so this wasn't true). Would definitely go again!
