The Beach House is a family owned and operated resort run with pride and integrity. We are the last stand of cottages on the water in Mackinaw City. We are 1 mile east of downtown. There are sidewalks and a bike trail to get to town.- #15

Seven cottages sit directly on the beachfront the others back up in a U shape from the beach. Everyone staying at the Beach House has access to our private beach. The Beach House is pet friendly (small pet fee) with 2 animals maximum. All hotel rooms in Michigan are non smoking. Smoking is permitted outdoors.

Did you find this helpful?|It's been quite a while since I have stayed at the Beach House. Many of the cabins have been updated and they have new mattresses which a so comfortable. The hot tub was out of order which was disappointing but over all our stay was great. It is our favorite place to stay in Mackinaw City because its right on the beach and far enough out from the city that its quiet and relaxing. He is very knowledgeable about the area and so friendly and helpful. The beach area was beautiful too grab your firewood on the way in we enjoyed having a fire on the beach in the evening! The only improvement would be an outlet by the bed an the screen door to not have a gap in the frame. The beach is very peaceful an firepit was a welcome part of the stay. The wooden picnic table was very tippy when we sat down like the table top was gonna fip over. The updates over the last few years have been nice, and Im glad theyre keeping with the old time rustic feel. Martin (manager) is friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating. It was our first time visiting Mackinaw city and we will be returning every year. Martin allowed us to check in early and offered an outstanding upgrade. The Beach house was the perfect place to see the 4th of July fireworks as well. This was one of our best vacations ever, just wish we could have stayed a few more days. Cabin was very clean. Plenty of towels were provided and the cabin size was perfect us(3 adults) and could handle up to 4 or 5 people. Beds were okeveryones comfort zone is different. Some suggestions for cabin 15: Shower head is very low and the bathroom fan sounds like a freight train and didnt pull out the moisture. There needs to be some kind of small shelf in the bathroom for toiletries! Kitchen sink would not drain. Love the new beds and updated carpeting, knotty pine in the original cabins on the lake. Although the tv did not work after he offered to fix it, no problem as we were more interested in the outdoor up north experience than watching tv. Very quaint & clean & amazingly quiet. The manager was very accommodating by providing me with extra blankets and even a portable heater. My room faced the road but I didnt hear the traffic.
