Our Mackinaw City property is situated in the center of one of the premier tourist destination in the State of Michigan. The staff was awesome! The hotel gave us water park passes due to the fact their pool was down. That won us over big time

Not the most luxurious place, but economical, clean, and very comfortable. Would gladly stay here anytime. Convenient in offering ferry tickets right at the desk.

This place has the friendliest staff there is!! We have stayed in many hotels and this was by far the kindest and most helpful staff we have ever encountered. The lady at the front desk was so helpful in giving us directions and insight into activities while on our trip.

I met my family in Mackinaw City. They stayed on the water for $250+ per night. I was traveling solo and found Thunderbird Inn less than 1 minute from all the shopping and lake views. Under $100/night, single room. The room was clean, had bathing supplies, lots of storage, table, vanity, heat lamp in bath, TV and ...hands down... the best breakfast available! No bagged breakfast with an apple and water, but fresh waffles, bagels, breads, fruit, yogurt, cereal, juices, coffees (plus coffee in your room!) and a friendly staff and good-natured neighbors. Very impressive and cost effective. Pass the word...Thunderbird!

Stayed for three nights, walking distance to the ferries to the island and many good restaurants close by. Served my needs well, rooms were clean and fair priced. I would consider staying here again my next time in the area.

Clean hotel, with friendly and attentive staff. The motel actually looks much fresher in person than on the website - it is freshly painted and grounds are clean. Excellent location. It is a motel, but a well maintained one.
