The room she gave us we were happy.Then when we got to the room.There were a few things that needed to be fixed for us to stay. The maintenance man was very quick to arrive. He fixed the toilet,the door that wouldnt open and the TV. All with a good attitude,very professional. However some of the fiit and finish of the room was incomplete. Screws missing on Wall switches, toilet rocked when being used, no beach access from room. Had to walk around building to get to beach. Room was nice and clean. Had fire pits for camp fires we every body used to meet your neighbor. See what there plans was and what our plans were. The room looked like it was recently remodeled and very clean. The only problem was parking but we had a can am spyder and could fit where cars couldn't. It was nice being just a few feet from the water, even though the rooms were a little older & out-dated. That said, they were clean though and the beds were pretty comfortable. Did you find this helpful?|Hotel is very close to downtown mackinaw city. 2 min drive or 510 mins walk from the hotel. Beds and pillows weren't all that comfortable but were ok to sleep on. However our shower didnt work the first night. Told office on morning they tried to fix it while we were out but what ever they had done didnt work. Told office again and they moved us to a better and bigger room for the inconvenience. And overall great hotel The only improvements could be a microwave in each room however, there is one in the office you can use. Did you find this helpful?|This hotel was nice. The price I was able to book was incredible for the area. The "water park" was only parcially open. Still nice for the smaller kids. And thankfully it for my daughter's age perfectly. Not sure if the slides and lazy river were down due to restrictions still or not. I didn't ask, as it wasn't a huge deal for us. I did have a slight misunderstanding with the room cost. The amount charged was not the amount booked. However I caught it right away and they did adjust it and apologized right away as well. We bought firewood Friday evening and had a great little fire on the beach area near the water to watch the fireworks. It was great and my daughter loved every minute of it. (You do have to buy your wood at a store, campground or roadside however. They don't sell it at the hotel) I also have had back surgery and found the beds were very comfortable and didn't wake in terrible pain. So that was great for me. Toilet ran, towel bar broken, heater in one room broken and was given a space heater. The kids loved the pool and the room was large and comfortable. The exterior had a few maintenance issues and we were not told in advance there was no elevator to our 3rd floor room. We left something in our rooms at checkout, and were pleased when we called back later that it had been found and we were able to drive back and pick it up. That said, the room had a balcony that looked out over the straights of Mackinaw. My son wanted to hook up his XBox to the TV in the room to play after dark and we had issues because there was no way to change the Input on the TV or on the Spectrum remote. We called the front desk, who called maintenance and he came right over. He was really nice and took care of the issue immediately (just needed the actual TV remote).
