Amazing! I had a comfortable stay with my friends in the Cabins of Mackinaw. Hour Cabin had all what we needed; several towels, three beds, hot water, we even had a fridge, what was great. My only complain was the Internet wifi which was not working, but leaving that aside, everything was good, thanks so much!

Rented a cabin for the weekend. Literally across the street from the ferry and only a few blocks from shoping and restaurants. Cabin was very clean and appeared just like the online pictures. The light in the shower was not working and wifi was nonexistent, no wifi is a big issue.

We were satisfied with our stay in one of the one-room cabins. The only thing was that the floor was not supported well, as it moved a lot whenever we walked around. But it was obvious that our cabin was an older one, as the two-story cabins looked much newer and nicer. Our cabin was clean, and housekeeping did a great job of cleaning and providing clean towels each day. One of them even rescued my purse, bringing it to our door after I had accidentally left it outside by one of our patio chairs. Nothing in my purse had been touched. We liked the cabin, as it was quiet and provate. Another small complaint was that the shower had no shelf for putting soap, shampoo, etc. A simple solution would be to hang a wire shelf unit from the shower head.

This was the first time we stayed at the Rainbow Motel and thoroughly enjoyed it. We always walked by on our previous visits to Mackinaw City and thought the property looked clean and well kept. We will certainly look forward to staying with them again in the future. We highly recommend this property!

Absolutely loved the cabin that we were placed in with the exception of the bed. It said it was a queen but it was a short queen with one side against the wall and the foot of the bed against the other wall. There was no room for the person against the wall to walk around. He had to climb over me to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Just wished the bedroom and bed would have been normal sized. It was a lovely location and beautiful room and the staff was very nice. Will book again, just larger bedroom area. Thank you!

My granddaughter fell in love with the spiral stairs. The cabin was beautiful. I liked that there was a front porch to sit on with table n chairs. The hide a bed in the sofa was not the best to sleep on. But then I haven't found a good one yet. We only stayed one night this time, but we are already planing next years trip and we will be staying longer.

It was exciting to stay in a cabin and feel a bit more privacy. The kids were able to have their own room. The cabin did need some updates and could be better cleaned. I was disappointed that the wi-fi did not work at all while being there. I asked multiple times if it had been fixed and was always told "it should be." The front desk lacked customer service skills.

The Cabins are really nice. We had the bad luck that we had ants in our bathroom, hope they will get it fixed. A downside is the maid service. it will take the whole day to wait for them, the first 2 days we didn't get fresh towels.

Loved the cabins. Everything we needed was supplied. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Price was very very reasonable. We were able to buy discounted tickets right there for ferry and tram. Location was excellent .

It was very nice, but definitely getting the new cabins was the better choice. The hotel for breakfast was literally 20 seconds away and we were close to the dock so super helpful. Only thing we had an issue with was the wifi never worked. Also, I got a random call at like 10 pm asking if this was me and that's it. Got no explanation which was odd. Overall, very nice and I enjoyed my stay!

My family and I loved staying at the beach house. Martin that ran the front office greeted us by name our whole stay. It was also nice to see him around talking to guest making sure they enjoyed there stay. The cabin was perfect and had a beautiful view of the water. We will be returning to the beach house.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The cabin was clean and spacious. Very good location, close to everything! Plenty of parking! Free breakfast was at another hotel across the street. Food was decent. The breakfast dining area was hot due to the crowd and not enough seating. Overall, would stay again for the cabin and the location!

Day at island great and star ferry great. Loved out room at hotel. However even with repeat called to the front desk, I was never able to get connect d to their WiFi. I even told them I needed it for work. The indoor water park was not that. It was an indoor pool with a kiddie play area. The play area was run down with many features not working. The pool water was cloudy to the point of barely being able to see the bottom. The hot tub was so cloudy I couldn’t see even the top step when getting in. The ventilation system was very poor. After about just under an 1hr our stomachs were sick and had a headache and had to leave.

Room was nice. Very cool log cabin feel. The interior was oddly laid out but clean. The view on the site is not the view that you get from most of the rooms. We did not have a blanket on our bed upon arrival. I called the front desk and they were less than helpful.

Cabin was clean and service was timely and friendly. Only downside was the size of one of the two bedrooms in the two bedroom chalet. The door did not open fully due to the queensized bed. It was a bit inconvenient to climb over the bed or continue to close the door to get around the bed. All in all, however not a deal breaker for staying there again.

Where should I start. We pulled up. I went in because we got there early to sight see. Made sure everything was okay. The guy who checked us in was nice. Took a ferry to the Island. Came back. Checked in. Went to the cabin and walked into paradise. It was beautiful. I'm coming back soon.

The chalet was charmingly rustic and large enough for 2-4 people; we had 2 people plus 2 dogs, 80 lb each, and plenty of room.There were plenty of towels: I would have liked a microwave. The place was clean. Breakfast across the street was plentiful and delicious. Ferry tickets were cheaper to buy at the desk than at the ferry itself. Negatives: the fridge had been disconnected and water was running out of it. The phone was dead. As we walked our dogs, we saw a non-functioning ice machine sitting in front of one of the units and a rusted-out statue of a bear lying in the grass. The outside of the chalets and cabins were just short of shabby. Overall, for the price, and compared to actual hotels on the Mackinaw waterfront, it was a good deal. We'd do it again, but I suggest a it of sprucing up in the meantime.

Cabin was great. No basic instruction or orientation at check in. Had to walk to another hotel to get breakfast and go to beach 😟 Big mix up with bill,(overcharged) finally resolved 2 days after we finally got home. Pre ordered Mackinopoly game ( didn't have it in stock but we did finally get it before we left), sunset cruise on Ugly Anne (which was wonderful from beginning til the end! Very friendly staff !!!), and sunset bridge trolley tour (which they cancelled). Website was helpful and very easy to make reservation on.
