Very clean, but could use some finishing touches on the bathroom remodel, which is decent but lacking a finished look. Cabins Of MackinacCabins of Mackinac Cathy from Grand Rapids stayed in September 2016The 2-story cabin with loft was perfect for our weekend stay. The office staff was very friendly & helpful. The breakfast at the Hamilton was delicious! (It was crowded but that was expected.) I thought being so close to the ferry would be loud, but you couldn't hear it at all. I liked that it was a 15 minute walk to downtown & another 5 minutes to an amazing view of the Mackinac Bridge. Cabins Of MackinacCabins of Mackinac Jean from Farmington Hills stayed in August 2016Loved staying in the individual cabins as opposed to a hotel. Rooms could have been a little bigger. We had an infant with us and brought a small bed for her but we had a real hard time finding room to put it. It was nice to have table and chairs outside to relax after a very busy day. Availability of pool, water park and beach was great. Added bonus was ferry right across the street from the cabins. We loved the cabins, they were beautiful and met our needs for 6 guests so that we could enjoy our stay together. The other guests in nearby cabins were wonderful as well. The access to a warm breakfast , pools and water parks was a nice bonus. It was very accessible to everything we needed during our stay. The rooms were clean and nice. Did you find this helpful?|The cabin said that it was originally about $200/night which is absolutely outrageous even for the nicer 2 story but we got a 2 BR queen for about $75 which was perfectly priced for the tiny cabin. It was cute and the bathroom was nicely updated with granite counters and shower walls and hardwood floor. The cabins were perfect for our big family trip for 3 nights with 18 people. Did you find this helpful?|I loved the cabin it was adorable. The fridge in the cabin did not work and I reported the problem twice and no one came to fix the issue. The only other issue we had was there is no sound proofing in the cabin. If someone is walking upstairs it sounds like elephants walking up there, if someone is talking in the bedroom you can hear every word, and lastly if someone is in the bathroom well you hear everything going on in there. I love the wood through out the whole cabin but the wood in the bathroom will probably not last as there is no fan in there to keep the moisture off the walls. We were in a brand new cabin and the floor was already warped in front of the shower door. My only real complaint is they never fixed the fridge and we had about $100 in food ruin in there because we did not know the fridge was not working until the next morning. The rooms were so homey and clean, I could've stayed forever. The private beach was so quiet and comfortable, perfect for swimming during the day and for relaxing at night.
