Did you find this helpful?|We really enjoyed the uniqueness of the property. It was like staying in a private home located in the center of town and directly across from the ferry. Larger and more open than a traditional hotel room with less noise. The cabin was spotless! There was one queen bed in the loft, one king bed in the bedroom and a queen sofa sleeper. No closets. No utensils. Small fridge. Limited drawers. No iron. Bring a towel and extras. The cabin sleeps 6 comfortably with plenty of room in the loft for children and sleeping bags. They are nicely remodeled, comfortable and clean. The staff at the desk are very friendly. My only complaint is that they eliminated eggs and yogurt from the breakfast buffet. If you want protein, your only option is sausage. I'm sure there are many people who can't or won't eat pork. This was our first trip to Michigan and I'm glad we stayed here. Did you find this helpful?|The cabin we stayed in were clean and comfortable lots of room for mom's wheelchair, loved our stay front desk people we extra nice, David is a great manager, he made sure our stay was the best, we were in the 2 story cabins, when we go back next year we will stay at The Cabins of Mackinac. However, i only gave a 4-rating because the wifi internet was inacessible, the microwave was broken and the vendo machine was not working. But overall the place was awesome because of the proximity to everything... We have stayed here twice and each time, even though we booked for 5 people there were always only 4 towels in the room and only 4 left each time it was cleaned. We were told there was free WiFi but only managed to connect to the internet from our room for about half hour on the first day of a 4 day stay. I had to use the computer in the lobby to follow up on emails required to complete a business transaction during the week. The rooms were cleaned everyday, but cleaned super late and we could hardly understand what the cleaners when they spoke to us. Also, the wifi didn't work at all in our cabin, when we were told it would. The bed was also completely uncomfortable, it felt like sleeping on a box spring. However, the water park was pretty cool! We stayed in two queen chalet and it was very roomy, clean, and beds were comfy. What more could you ask for? Additionally, when the power unexpectedly went out for a portion of Mackinaw City, my room being one of the few who lost power, the front desk handled the situation very well and sent me to an affiliate (I'm assuming) of the Econo Lodge, the Comfort Inn, to a better room with beachfront property at no charge to me. We requested a reassignment and were very pleased with the new accommodations. Very Convenient to ferries to Island and restaurants. Cabins Of MackinacCabins of Mackinaw Traci from Battle Creek stayed in October 2014We had a great time at the Cabins of Mackinaw City, and would stay there again. The woman working at the reception desk was kind enough to tell us that the Ferry tickets at the dock were cheaper than the discounted tickets offered by the hotel that weekend. The room was neat and clean although it did appear that the cleaning staff need to do some higher dusting and be a little more thorough with light fixtures, and the ceiling fan. It would also be nice if the hotel that the cabins partner with would staff the pool area at least during busy times as we had children diving head first into the hot tub, and it would be nice if the hotels could figure out an adults only time in the pool for guests who would like some pool time without being bombarded by children.These comments are from a verified stay127 people found this helpful. We loved the rustic cabin feel. It was perfect for the two of us and we enjoyed the nice breakfast next door for both mornings we were there.
