I loved the cabin (2 story)... the kids thought it was awsome. The ammenities were great, and we loved the water park which was just accross the parking lot. The continental breakfast was great as well, and we didn't even have to drive to the ferry boat (Star line) which was directly accross the street.

The Cabins are very nice. Every year they invest in remodeling them to make them more appealing. The breakfast is very good with a nice variety. The only recommendation I have is they need more staff for breakfast to keep things moving more efficiently.

We up-graded our two bedroom cabin to the two floor cabin. It worked very well since we had an infant and needed to set up a pack-n-play. We did not have a refrigerator in the first cabin which was needed to keep milk for the baby but the up-grade gave us a frig, microwave and sink. My second grand-daughter loved the upstairs bedroom and her own television. I would recommend the two story cabins but was disappointed in the two bedroom single floor unit.

The cabin was clean. The personnel was friendly and efficient and accommodating. Cabin was roomy enough for 2 adults. Pool large and clean. We didn't get in, but it was pleasant to sit by it after a long day of driving. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. The buffet was good but started an hour later than we were told. We were ready to leave earlier to get to the island. Wonderful place to stay.

Had a great experience with the Cabins of Mackinaw. Chalets were fixed up really nice. The customer service was extremely pleasant and easy to work with. I'm big on reading reviews and agree the breakfast was accommodating too many people at once. 2 lines would be better. Enjoyed the pool area with the kids. Would come back!

My family of 6 spent two nights at the Econolodge in Mackinaw City. We had a very nice time and the a menities were very good. The kids spent most of their free time when not sightseeing, in both the outdoor pool and the waterpark next door and made some new friends while there. Although the breakfast buffet was in the hotel next door, it was only a short walk across the car park to get there and the food was good and plentiful. If you got there after about 8am it was very busy but that's to be expected when sharing the breakfast area between 2 hotels and it was specified in the description when booking. Staff were all very friendly and the only minor issue we had was having to ask for extra towels each day. We made a booking for 6 people and the cleaning staff always only left 4 towels. Overall we had a wonderful time in Mackinaw and a very pleasant stay at the hotel and I would recommend it for families.

The rooms were very clean and pleasant. Could have used a fan in the bathroom. Was not too thrilled with the breakfast. People in line forever waiting for people to make waffles! Nice idea but could be eliminated from menu! Very good and hard working staff! Would definitely stay there again.

Our family had lots of fun and enjoyed the time we spent there. We enjoyed staying in the cabins the only complaint we had was no screens on the door. The kids running in and out leaving the door open allowed the bugs to get in. we would stay there again.

We found the accommodation well located, clean and comfortable. I would have preferred a larger room but the room we had was adequate. The only criticism I would have is that the bed was not made well.The sheet was small and turned sidewise so was very short. We had to remake the bed in order to be comfortable. We rectified the problem by requesting no service to the room during our stay.

We was impressed with the amount of things that came with that we received for our price. The chalet needs updated on the outside. we had alittle issue with our bathroom and with our heater. Other than that the trip was wonderful. You definately need to take the sunset cruise on the Ugly Annie. Capt. Chris and co-capt. was the best people to be around. We got such great photos. We will for sure be back, but this time with our kids. Learning the history of the island from Capt. Chris was Great!!! He knows so much about this place i hope he stays around for ever. Everyone on the Main Island and on the Island was so nice!! You have to eat at Darrows and the Pancake Chief Restaurant ( both to die for ). It was so nice that i leaned over to my wife and said "we need to live up here". When coming upon the island it reminded me of a Thomas Kinkade painting.

The only complaint was that the second bedroom door seemed to open the wrong way and blocked off the room by hitting the bed. Had to close the door in order to get around to one side of the bed.

The loft style cabin was so much fun to stay in, you did not have to worry about people being above or on either side of you like in hotels. They were within walking distance of downtown and the ferry to the island. The amenities were great, being able to go to all the waterparks at the other hotels around, kids really liked that. One suggestion would be to put a small dresser in the loft area also, for those guests that have extended stays.

They actually called me after I booked this reservation and told me this cabin will still be closed for the season. I postponed it to the following week. When we got there, they told us it is still closed & they moved us to the Hamilton Inn. I wish they would have called me a 2nd time to let me know. We were expecting a 2 bedroom cabin, and ended up with a normal hotel room with 2 beds. We have 2 adults & 2 children. The positives were: ended up with a beach front room, included a great breakfast every morning that was on the same floor (kids loved going to it in their pj's), and it included the waterpark, which was amazing!! Overall, had a wonderful experience!

Nice location, private, close to waterpark. The room was ice cold, cold-soaked, heat off when we arrived--it was still winter (April hah). the rooms are modern. The in room hot tub was huge.
