Every staff member we encountered was friendly. Our room was clean, although a little warm. However, the windows opened, and that fixed the temperature issue. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The breakfast offered typical continental fare, but they never ran out of anything. Coffee is available all day long, and they also have various snacks throughout the day. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

We had a beautiful view of the lake and we had a full moon the nights we stayed the view was beautiful!!! Does the hotel need updated yes! The tub needs anti slip strips in them or someday someone will fall and you would not want that to happen without them the tub is very slippery!! Just a word of caution. But, totally enjoyed our stay!!

Totally honest review. This hotel is old, comes with an old smell, the water park is old, the water looks questionable. Saying that, you get what you pay for. My kids still had a blast, front desk lady was super sweet, the views from the balcony are awesome, close walking distance to shops & ferry. Fireworks right out front on Saturdays. We had fun and made memories.

When we first arrived we were not told that the hot tub was having maintenance done on it, a few of us went down there and it was closed. After dinner we would've been able to go in but were not told that.

The water park was fun for the kids. The pool, water park and hot tub were the perfect temperature. We had an issue with the room. Our first room - the heat didnt work, it was dirty, there was no staff anywhere onsite and we had to go to a different hotel for support, the outlets didnt work, and there was no shampoo/conditioner. The second room was so much cleaner and in better condition.

Quick and kind check in, front desk lady was awesome and such a sweetheart. Room was clean and accommodating. The kitchenette was perfect size for what we needed. One of the tv's didn't have batteries but thankfully I had some in my purse so I replaced the batteries so kids could watch tv on one of the two. Main reason we were there was the pool and waterpark. The kids had a blast, the water park is a little outdated but for the location and price don't complain if the kids are having fun who cares. Would definitely go back for a quick trip to get the kids out of the house for the night.

Bathroom door wouldnt shut and we struggled getting the facet and getting hot water. Also dryers and ice machine weren't working Your staff is amazing! They were able to address almost all our issues! Wed definitely stay again with the staff (especially your front desk lady! She was amazing!!)

The hotel did what we needed. Room was clean but quite outdated. Our door appeared to have been kicked in at one point, part of the swing bar lock was broken and there was a large gap at the bottom. The hotel is very choppy, our room was on the 4th floor, the elevator only goes to the 3rd, so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. Disappointed that there was no breakfast. The waterpark was a hit with our 3 and 5 year old. Sinika (I'm sure I'm spelling it wrong) at the front desk was wonderful! Pretty sure she worked every hour for 3 days because she was there each time I went to the front desk. She was extremely helpful, sweet, and everything you would want a hotel employee to be. Lots of bad things in this review but I was happy with a clean room and bed.

I have been taking my kids ( aging from 10 down to 5) for a while now. We live locally and enjoy the weekends here. We have never has an issue with the water or our room. There was no elevator to the floor our room was on, which was not indicated when I booked. Ice machines and vending were out of order. Chairs in the room were ripped. Dirty, unused equipment was left on counters in an eating area we had to pass while going to our room. Very disappointing. For the cost, we expected much better.

Staying on the fourth floor was not a good experience. Trying to get to the room was difficult. The room itself was in need of some repair and renovation. The door was missing the safety lock. Kids enjoyed the water park, which was why we chose this hotel, but it was also in need of maintenance and sprucing up.

We've stayed here many times with our family over the years and absolutely love Crown Choice Inn...our children of all ages love this place. Giant Jacuzzi for Mom and Dad, water park for our littles and game room for our teens not to mention great service,always great upgrades! beautiful rooms! Kitchenettes are fabulous Definitely recommend the room with jacuzzi tub in it! Great affordable rates for a family!! ALWAYS coming back!!! Thank you Crown Choice Inn!!

Not a high-end hotel, but you get what you pay for. Biggest problem was the difficult walk to access room carrying luggage - entrance was blocked with sign on door to go via outside to sister hotel, up elevator then stairs. There was no in-house breakfast, but vouchers were provided for restaurants; 2 breakfasts for price of one, which was not overly helpful for a single traveller.

[Staff/Service]Check-in staff was friendly, but not particularly helpful. We were given wrong directions for accessing the waterpark, which resulted in taking an elevator to the third floor only to walk back down three flights of stairs to the park when our room was maybe 200 feet from the main entrance. The other desk clerk we interacted with was new, but helpful when we needed batteries for a TV remote.[Cleanliness]The room was very clean. However, my son did find a leftover marijuana cone in the back of a dresser drawer. [Space]The room was very spacious. We booked a suite, and 3 adults + 2 kids were comfortable the whole stay.[Decor]Room decor was minimal and outdated, BUT the low prices of this hotel also dont attract the kind of clientele who respect the property. More modern decor would be nice, but I understand not investing in too much here.[Furniture/Bedding]The mattresses seemed new. Bedding was very clean and comfortable. The furniture is outdated and worn, but sturdy. As with decor, I dont blame the owners for not investing heavily in new furniture.[Noise]It was still the off season, so it was pretty quiet most of the time. A few other guests did get loud sitting on the balconies, but again the low prices attract a variety of visitors. We saw a lot of empty alcohol and cigarette trash around the parking lot every morning, and saw multiple families (with children) carrying baggies of marijuana into their rooms. So[Location]Its Mackinaw City During the regular season, it has great access to everything. In the off-season, expect to travel to St. Ignace or Petsokey for food/shopping.[Price]Incredible value! A 2 bedroom suite with waterpark included for three nights was HALF the price of a one-night stay at most other waterparks. It is very budget-friendly, and perfect for kids up to probably 13. The pool is large, and the hot tub is basically a pool itself, so great for adults.[Food]Huge disappointment here. The website for this specific hotel states updated breakfast room, but there is NO breakfast at this hotel. In the off season (Nov-April), there are only two nearby restaurants with breakfast, one of them being a high-priced saloon. Plan to pack breakfast items or drive across the Mackinac Bridge to St. Ignace.[General]Its a budget-friendly, family-friendly hotel with a nice indoor waterpark. A bit outdated and in need of some repairs, but dont let that deter you from visiting. In the future, we plan to visit after May, when more attractions are open.

The rooms were not clean whatsoever. There were stains on the sheets, bugs in the bathroom (and its January not July), and the hotel itself is in generally poor condition. Open doors to storage areas revealed clutter and mess that wouldnt pass a fire marshal inspection. Our check-in time was 4pm but they wouldnt let anyone check-in until 5pm causing long lines and lots of frustration. Front desk staff was rude and unhelpful.

Kids love the water park and were stoked on the improvements in the arcade..and we love the cheap rates in the wintertime for something to do only thing Im concerned about is the hotels cleanliness and and overall maintenance it seems like its steadily declining each year hopefully it doesnt ruin this place eventually!
