It is located close to the Lake and the ferry which was convenient. The Grill/Bar right across the street was excellent. Parking kinda sucked as we never had the spot in front of our room and it was raining.

The hotel was very accommodating as we stayed there before and after a 2 day visit on Macinac Island and they allowed us to leave our vehicle at the hotel while we were on the island. The convenience of the ferry being next door was also important. The room was comfortable and clean and the complimentary breakfast was nice.

Room was GREAT! New carpet. New tv. Bed was good. Only bad thing was the carpet on the outside stairs was dangerous. They need to be replaced. Even fireworks on Friday night right outside our balcony.... bonus!

Rooms were VERY clean. We were pleasantly surprised that our tub was jetted. However, we didn't take shampoo with us because we knew that shampoo is normally offered in the room and it wasn't. Very happy with our stay.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel good view of the docks for the crossing to Mackinaw Island. I did experience a unpleasant experience with reservation I had with the Cabins of Mackinaw (I thought it was with the hotel- but it was through Booking.com The advertising said free cancellation until September 18, 2017. After a member of my group had to cancel because her husband was hospitalized. I had to cancel and find a less expensive place I called and cancelled in the morning of Sept. 18, 2017, (in the process of being charged a cancellation fee basically 1 night stay) because it was after 11:59 am September 17, 2018. I have been checking to see if they have charged me. I let them know I am not happy with them. I have been visiting Mackinaw City and Island for a few years now I really love the atmosphere and the people. Thank you.
