The Hamilton Inn had no where to store my luggage for a few hours, so I could enjoy more of Mackinaw while waiting for my partner. It was very convenient to area attractions, very clean, plenty of close parking and employees were friendly. Best of all - the beds were the most comfortable beds we have ever had on any vacation! Hallways always seemed cluttered, bikeracks in inside foyer protect the bikes but distracts from appearance of the interior. The Hamilton Inn Select in my opinion was the best located of all other hotels. Best restaurant just across the street on one side, beach on another & Star line ferries right next door. It is by FAR the BEST hotel in Mackinaw City. Over the years we have stayed at numerous other hotels, but kept coming back to the Hamilton. It is clean, comfortable, excellent pool & breakfast bar. The employees offer OUTSTANDING customer service. My kids ALWAYS ask to stay at the Hamilton - it's become our home-away-from-home. After travelling all day, I need a quiet room for a good sleep. The view from my bedroom (on the waterfront) and the expansive breakfast in the morning contributed to an outstanding experience at the Hamilton Inn Select. The cleaning staff was the best we've seen in a very long time. They did a great job making up our room every morning and were always cleaning something in the hotel..the lobby, the stair wells, etc. The breakfast bar was more than we even could have expected. It was very busy, however, the staff was very quick to clean the tables when other guests were done eating and the food bins always remained full.
