After reading all the reviews on beachfront hotels we chose Hamilton Inn Select Beachfront. Great friendly service when we checked in. I was a little late for the grab bag breakfast the next morning and they still made me bags which I appreciated. The 2 queen beds with pull out couch beachfront room was clean and the view from our balcony was great! The beds were very comfortable but the pull out couch not so much. We did not use the pool because it was closed until 9:30pm the day we were there. We were happy with this hotel and would go there again.

Fast checkin, our room had a great view of lake. We could walk to restaurants and when we took ferry to Mackinac island, it was almost next door to hotel, very convenient.

Outstanding customer service from staff, especially Lance and the two ladies that worked June 21 and June 22!! The location is absolutely perfect to access Starline Ferry (we were able to walk from our hotel). Loved the free water park. Excellent rooms with comfortable beds. Very clean.

We really liked our room with a view of the lake, and the balcony with sliding glass door. The screen was off the track but we fixed it. It was very quiet and comfortable.

Overall good experience. Great staff, very friendly. 4 stars because pool area was way too hot with no ventilation. Kids could not swim for more than 20 minutes before everyone's eyes were burning.

My sister and I stayed at the Hamilton Beachfront Inn and loved it! When we checked in, we had the option to upgrade our room to one with a balcony for $22.00 a night and we did, such a fabulous view!! The staff was great, too! The only reason I gave four stars and not five, is, it could use a little updating. Also, the ice machine on the 2nd floor didn’t work. We stayed for three nights and housekeeping never came to our room and that was ok, we ended up having to ask for another box of Kleenex, but that was fine.

Things that were great: Nice and clean room, friendly staff, pool was good. Things that could be improved: Hot tub jets need a tune-up, the grab and go breakfast was disappointing Overall, I would come back, but might look into above. Thanks to the awesome staff!

Check in easy and desk people super nice! Only downside of visit, the bed mattresses are horribly uncomfortable. I don’t remember them being that hard the last time, although it has been several years since our last stay at this hotel. Fireworks view was absolutely amazing and the perfect spot from the balcony, definitely worth it! Pool and hot tub very comfortable temperature and size too. Location for everything is awesome!

The rooms needed some upgrading all over. Also the toilet moved a little as you sat on it and the vent in the bathroom did not work in the room we stayed in. The hotel was clean, which was a really good thing. The staff was nice and friendly. Great place to stay, just again, rooms need a little bit of upgrading.

All three front desk employees I interacted with stopped what they were doing - even when someone else was helping me - to say good morning or hello. Huge, huge difference from the Mackinaw city hotels I usually stay at. Both young men working front desk were friendly and interactive. I greatly appreciated the room upgrade as the property was not full. This year I brought a group of 26 attendees to Zoo-de-Mack bike weekend. Most stay at the best Western for some reason. I won’t bring the noisy ones, but the quiet ones are staying at the Hamilton next year Many thanks for a great stay

Enjoyed the view from the room as well as the beach. The noise (people running up and down the halls and in the room next to us) during the late evening (after 10:00pm) was a bit disruptive to sleeping. We had traveled from Coldwater, MI (5 1/2 hours) and were looking forward to a good nights sleep.

The check in process took longer than it should have, due to the disorganization of the manager. She was taking calls the entire time and then she wouldn’t give me our room key before we left on the ferry. I had to make another stop to get it after a long tiring day on the island. Also, our air conditioning wasn’t adequate.
