Room was sufficient for our needs minus having a microwave. That was listed on the room supplies and we had babies that needed warm bottles and warm soft food. Check in was great- staff were amazing. Pool got crazy with kids and was not enjoyable at times but that is a risk you’re taking in a tourist spot.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room with a lakefront view was clean, but needed some updating and repairs. The screen on the balcony's sliding glass door was ripped off and needed to be replaced.

Got a bigger room than reserved (2 queens rather than 1), room was very clean. We felt we got an excellent deal for the price. The take and go breakfast was a disappointment. There could be better contents than a small mass produced granola bar. Fruit and water were acceptable choices.

Great location on the waterfront. Provided a minimal grab and go breakfast which was fine with me, although coffee in the lobby would have helped. Room was nice and comfortable, three big windows, very nice old wood furnishings.

I stayed over a night on my way to Houghton to see my son, and then another night on the return trip, which is about halfway. The jacuzzi was so fun and very well-maintained, with special fancy folded towels on the edge. Everyone is always super helpful and friendly at the reception desk. A very nice and relaxing stay both ways! (The seagulls are a riot--better than any TV show!)

I've been coming to the Hamilton a few times a year for the past 3 years. It is my absolute favorite hotel. I'm always so comfortable and relaxed there. The staff is so so nice. Housekeeping does a wonderful job. They also suggest the Dixie for meals, and that place is wonderful as well. I always recommend people to choose this for lodging in Mackinaw City. Side note, I've seen their staff have to deal with very unreasonable people during the pandemic, and while I personally would not have the patience to do so, they handled themselves with pure professionalism and grace, where I and most others would Lose their cool and tell someone off. :)

Guest staff was very professional and helpful. Room was clean. Yes, bathroom is a bit small. Pillows small? We were sad to see the breakfast room closed, but we do understand that the pandemic was very disruptive and hospitality staff shortages are real. Maybe someday . . . Perspective: We have been coming to the Hamilton in May for about 30 years now My family was glad that we chose Hamilton Inn for our stay once again.

Comfortable beds & great value. I will say I find it rude to have construction going on after 11PM at night for multiple nights. Constant banging & hammering made it hard to sleep. We then asked for a late check out for our 3 night stay and were allowed a generous 30 minute extension. 😲

We had a small issue with the room above us but the staff handled it with the utmost professionalism. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay, the room was amazing and the kids loved the pool just as much as the water park across the street. Highly recommend!

The staff was cheery and polite. The room was sufficient and clean. The breakfast was basic but adequate. The only complaint was the spa tub which had what looked like brown sediment that floated in the water after the jets were turned on. Could have been it’s first use at the start of season, but the jets definitely needed to be serviced. We did not use the tub.

We liked the location and the pool and hot tub! I will say the pool chemicals were off some (somewhat cloudy). We liked our suite as it worked for our group needs. Ordering the tickets for attractions was very inconvenient as they couldn’t be changed when we had some changes to our group and we had problems at vendors because of how they printed (half a ticket on one page then half on another). The outlets in our room were all loose which made charging electronics difficult and there were not enough plugs in general. I will say staff was very polite and helpful. Some of our group was disappointed with the grab and go breakfast but I do understand that we came on opening weekend and I am sure your short on staff as is everyone else. Staff was very accommodating as they let our group eat our pizza dinner in the dining room upstairs. That was very helpful!

Just needed a relaxing night away from home. We got the King Room with a Jacuzzi tub, went out for a nice dinner at the Dixie Saloon, went to the casino for a bit, and had a nice breakfast at Audie's the next morning. It was cold and blustery outside, or we would have extended for another day. Great place to stay, we may come back in better weather sometime. We only live 2 hours away, but felt like we got out of Dodge for a day and it was very restful!

The room (and wintry view) was beautiful, the jacuzzi was wonderful, and everyone was super friendly. THEN, because of ridiculously inclimate weather in Houghton (where I was headed after my stay at Hamilton to pick up my son at MTU), we had to just TURN AROUND and head back to beat ice. We arrived in Mackinaw City and the Hamilton again at 1:30 am, exhausted, to a full parking lot of snowmobilers. The clerk on duty found us a room, gave us a discount because it was so late, and bumped the check-out time 'till noon. I will never forget his kindness. I'm convinced--Hamilton Inn is top flight.

The Hamilton in is very pleasing to the eye with more than adequate furnishings and extremely comfortable beds. The view onto the lake, piers and islands was very relaxing and the pool was wonderful. Housekeeping staff were so sweet and kind! Front desk staff were very nice as well. However the building needs some maintenance, the wall paper in the room was falling off the wall. The moulding in the hallway could use a good dusting.

It is a very convenient location for what we needed to do this time this season. The staff was very pleasant, but I must say even for being winter time, they gave us a flyer with all the restaurants on it but all of them were closed, I feel as if they should have let us know because only 3 whole restaurants were open during our stay. For winter time please make sure you get good plow people to do the entire parking lot. Due to trucks/trailers taking up half the lot not many other spots for regular vehicles to park we ended up having to make our own spot due to no spots being available due to parking lot not being plowed correctly. But overall, not a bad stay.

The stay was good. I thought there would be breakfast or at least coffee in the lobby. Don’t care for the coffee in the rooms. And the hallway when we got off the elevator on the 2nd floor smelled really bad like weed. And our friends said the same thing on floor 3.The whole weekend.

Parking lot could have been cleared better. Snow close to the doors should have been removed. Older people like us can fall. Other than that room was clean and nice.
