Great place, loved that they accepted dogs there so we could include them on the island stay! Thanks for much for being super accommodating to our family! They even stayed open later for us to arrive as our travel time had to change due to unexpected last minute issues!

The room was clean and nice. The only complaint I have is that there was no WiFi and I had some work to do while I was there. Nice as it was, I would not have stayed there if I knew I could not get WiFi there.

Many thanks to Nancy who works at the front desk. She was very helpful with our reservation that had been switched from one hotel to another. She was at the desk throughout our stay and was always friendly and able to assist with questions or when we needed an extra towel etc.

Very nice, let us check in early. Would have liked a blanket on the bed as the comforter/quilt was very stiff and hard to sleep under. Parking was tight but I'd stay there again.

Being beachfront was incredible. We liked being able to park close to our room. The downside is that it was dated and the bathroom is definitely small and ran down. The bed was comfortable for a hotel bed. The staff was very kind, especially the girl at check in. Obviously with Covid, we didn’t have the luxury of the breakfast, but it was nice to just be able to walk over to Toast Go Go with the B1G1.

We have stayed at this hotel for the past 8 years and never an issue! We absolutely love the views and the beach. The staff is always kind and helpful. This particular time, the young lady in the office didn't put in our tickets as packages and in the end it cost us an extra $32 that we weren't anticipating. At checkout, the next young lady, who was very polite, wasn't able to go in and correct it, thus costing us an overage. I was very unhappy with that as we work hard all year to save for this vacation. That one incidence will not deter us from staying here in the future.

Our hotel was an excellent value and met all of our needs. We needed a place that was dog friendly and this worked while giving us a great location in the city. The room itself was definitely a bit dated and the jacuzzi tub a bit gross. Similarly, looks like no one had cleaned the balcony in a while as it was caked with bugs and spiders. But, that was all within our expectations for what we paid. Staff was friendly and it was nice being able to park right outside of our room. Weird that there wasn't a "do not disturb sign" particularly during COVID. Chamber of Tourism website was awesome and did confirm that this was by far the lowest rate. Would recommend adding more information about pet friendliness of hotels as I think there are a lot of people who value that information. Might even be a great sub-page for the website, including highlighting dog friendly establishments or partnering with the BringFido website.

We have been coming to this motel for over ten years. We have stayed there the last six years in a row in fact. My husband has alzheimers. they have always been gracious enough to give us the same room. this year, I later booked a room for my sisters. The hotel even managed to give them the room next to us. It was cold this year. The room staff left an extra blanket for hubby on the balcony. (we had not even asked) THAT is careing about your guests. The desk staff is kind, and efficient. We don't go there for the pool or the free breakfast, we go for the beach, the balcony, that same room, and to visit Mackinaw city and the island. This was most likely my husbands last trip. Again, it was wonderful to be at this hotel. It honestly brings me tears of joy today just remembering our stay there.

After staying in Traverse City, this was our first vacation in a long while at Mackinaw City. Our future vacations and short trips will be to Mackinaw City. This is because Traverse City is way too expensive to stay in. T-shirt shops are foreign owned and no longer offer the quality local logo shirts. My rating of 5 stars is because of the housekeepers and how they had plenty of towels, soap, and made our beds each day while we were away. It was such a pleasant surprise coming back each night to find it clean, and with fresh towels and supplies.

Very clean room. Liked this location also. Ad said there was a microwave but we did not have one in our room. The breakfast was not available as the people who bring it did not show up. The hotel did provide breakfast at hotel next door, this was a fix unfortunately it was inconvenient for us since we have ambulatory problems. We would stay here again, staff were friendly and helpful.

This is our 5th stay at Super 8 Beachfront. My husband is ill, but they ALWAYS are kind enough to give us the same room. It's the perfect location. the beach is wonderful. the staff helpful and polite. My only "complaint" if it is that, is there is no real "smoking area". I'm a rule follower. But, a few chairs or a bench around one of those few smoking poles would be greatly appreciated, especially for that morning coffee.
