The Super 8 Bridgeview is the only log cabin hotel in Mackinaw City. The Super 8 Bridgeview is conveniently located directly across from 1000 feet of Lake Huron Beach at the base of the Mackinac Bridge. The room was fantastic...but the bathroom left alot to be desired. It was clean but pretty institutional...and very cold. The shower was weak and hot water was not abundant.

We enjoyed our time in the hotel and the city. We asked the room service folks not to make the beds or collect the towels and they complied with our request. We also tipped them upon our leaving and left returnable bottles for the staff. The Front Desk folks split up the bill between two credit cards as requested. We were more than satisfied with the service. One drawback is the breakfast room. The layout of the food and the machines is a bit awkward. The waffle machine and the toaster machine created too much heat and the room is stifling at times. If a venting of that heat could be done the area would be more enjoyable too eating. Many folks took food back to their room or ate in the lobby because of the heat. The young lady who tended the breakfast food, etc was curious and did a splendid job under the circumstances. Everybody we came into contact with was extremely friendly and very nice. The room was just awesome and bigger than expected. Very clean and we didn't hear other people at all. I would rate them between good and out standing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was great. The room was very clean and large, with a balcony. The only item that kept it below "Outstand" was the breakfast and not being on the water. But......... The price was affordable, if you were to rate it against other hotels. They also allow us to bring our dog. That was the deciding factor. Yes.We will stay there again for the June car show in St Ignace next year.

We got there early on check in day, allison, the girl behind the counter, looked for our tickets/package stuff so we could go out and start to enjoy our day. packages weren't in yet so she gave a time to be back, we came back, got our tickets and room, before advertised check in time and we were able to start our day early anyway.shewent our of her way to help us out. the rest of the staff was just as helpful. we've stayed there before and we will stay again.

After reading some of the reviews about this motel, I was not quite sure about staying there, but we were coming in very late and didn't want to pay a lot of money. We were surprised to find it clean, comfortable, and quiet. It has a breakfast in the morning which makes it nice and you can get going right away in the morning.

As seniors we were delighted that they gave us a room that was equipped for safety as it gave us real peace of mind when having a shower etc. They also gave us a King sized bed when we had booked a Queen at no extra charge.
