I stayed on the 12th of October and had no problems getting a room. I did not have time to try the water park, so on my way back from the UP, decided to stop again. Unfortunately, the water park was down, but management gave me a nice room with a whirlpool and cheaper than normal for being a repeat customer. Rooms were nice, breakfast was good, and staff was very friendly.

We got one of the newly remodeled "King Suites". There was a separate sleeping room for mom and dad and the main area had 2 pull-out sleeper sofas which the girls said weren't bad to sleep on. There was a balcony overlooking the beach, a little kitchenette, and the bathroom was clean. The staff, Richard, and others, were friendly. Oh yes I forgot to tell them in room 202 the balcony railing was a little wobbly. I hope they read this and repair. The water park is fun, and other guests had campfires every night in the fire circles. The wifi worked, as did the ice machines. The free breakfast was adequate and better than where we stayed up here last year. I would stay here again.

My family and I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. We love that it is very much kid friendly. The breakfast worker is so sweet and helped us find a bunch of cool new places to visit. This is one of the few hotels that have enough room for my family of 6 to fit in one room. The staff is always polite anf helpful. my only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the room needed to be cleaner. It was very obvious the cleaning staff did not move items to clean around or behind them. There was considerable dust buildup behind the beds, dressers and nightstands. There was a residue on the sink backsplash from the coffee pot being previously used. The worst part was the dead bugs in the ac unit. It created such a bad smell the heat unit was unusable. The blankets on the bed were worn very thin and had holes and in need of replacing. For the most part our stay was positive. However as a cleaner myself, I feel your staff should be trained a bit better how to not cut corners and clean a room thoroughly, even the areas that aren't immediately visable. Still a wonderful hotel, I will still come back again.

Rooms were nice and the service was good. Will stay there again. Was not impressed with the waiver signing, initialing and wrist band process. My wife and I did not end up using the pool, but you must realize any good lawyer would figure out a way around the waiver. Yours is the ONLY motel my wife and I have ever stayed at that required a waiver to use the pool area. It was a head shaker for me.
