I booked a room with with two queen beds. Upon arriving the receptionist was great we went to our room,we were given one bed perhaps it was a king.. I called down to the front desk and she said the other bed pulls out from the wall. we could not even find a way to pull it down.. called again they gave us a upgrade they said..a 2 room suite. with small kitchen.. two queen beds Thank You for the upgrade.

The room was nice and very clean. We had an excellent view! The hot breakfast was wonderful... I have never seen a hotel put out a breakfast like this :). We enjoyed the waterpark for 2 days, and ALL of us had something to do. A hot tub and sauna for us adults, and slides for the kids!

We stayed at the hotel for a mid-winter water park weekend. We have 5 kids of various ages, and the water park was good for entertaining all ages. The reason that I didn't give 5 stars was because of a few things lacking with the hotel. The room did not have any space for hanging towels and suits. With a hotel attached to a water park, it would be really helpful to have hanging space. The breakfast was ok. Not great quality food like we've had at other places, but there was always plenty of seating, which was nice. One other little fussy thing that would be nice is real half and half for the coffee instead of the powdered non dairy stuff that was the only thing available.

We love staying in Mackinaw City in the winter - our kids start asking in Sept. if we are going to go. This was our 6th year and it is nice to be able to eat in the same hotel as the water park. Our only disappointment was that the single person working in the kitchen area was not able to keep up with the number of people coming to eat. Admittedly, it is a short shift, but I think your customers would be more pleased if there were more employees available during the breakfast time so that there was enough food, juice, plates to serve everyone present. See You Next Year!!

The girl at the breakfast was short with people, not friendly, no smile. She told one guest there was no regular coffee, then in a few minutes she brought some out. I( had to ask for hot water for tea. She was also on the phone much of the time. No elevator in the lobby was inconvinent. The rooms were nice, clean and service was ok.

The breakfast was so...so. Too many steps to find the 3rd floor ice machine!!! You should have one on each floor..really!! :( Other than that you should get a 5 star. Everything else was great... people,service,etc. The 2 things I mentioned are very important.

Our three nights was wonderful. The housekeeping staff were very kind and thoughtful. I appreciated the occasional extra coffee for the room. The grandchildren loved the pool and water park. The Comfort Suites has very friendly staff, it was clean, my kids LOVED the indoor water park, and it was nice to walk down the street to see all the shops. The only difference for us between good and outstanding was the need for room upgrades. The bathroom you could tell had been recently upgraded and it has a flat screen tv, however, the tv needs to be raised at eye level and not "floor" level. Even if they could place it on a long dresser like most other hotels do, that would be great! Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
