The breakfast was so...so. Too many steps to find the 3rd floor ice machine!!! You should have one on each floor..really!! :( Other than that you should get a 5 star. Everything else was great... people,service,etc. The 2 things I mentioned are very important.

Our suite was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and had a good variety to choose from. The staff was ok. The girl at the front desk when we checked in was not very friendly nor were the ones in the breakfast room. We did enjoy our stay there and would stay there again if we were in the area.

Our three nights was wonderful. The housekeeping staff were very kind and thoughtful. I appreciated the occasional extra coffee for the room. The grandchildren loved the pool and water park. The Comfort Suites has very friendly staff, it was clean, my kids LOVED the indoor water park, and it was nice to walk down the street to see all the shops. The only difference for us between good and outstanding was the need for room upgrades. The bathroom you could tell had been recently upgraded and it has a flat screen tv, however, the tv needs to be raised at eye level and not "floor" level. Even if they could place it on a long dresser like most other hotels do, that would be great! Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

With that being said, I would like to say your front desk staff is one of the most impressive I've come across! We will be back!!! Thanks for an amazing family stay:). A couple of things to note with our stay...First, the suite that we had reserved was still being occupied, due to the fact that the previous guests had decided not to check out and their stuff was still in our room...The front desk was aware of this and when we checked in, the situation was explained thoroughly and with apologies...As a result, they offered us a different room at a reduced rate, which was a sign of great customer service in my opinion!! The other thing of note was just a bit of an "oddity"....The bathroom sink wasn't in the bathroom...It was in the hallway between the door and the sleeping area...I don't know why the builders thought that was a good idea, but it's an odd lay-out.... We were very pleased with our stay and happy that Comfort Suites were able to move us to a different room under these circumstances....It was a very busy weekend in Mackinaw and rooms were difficult to come by... Thank you and the Armstrong family will see you soon!!!

This is the Hotel my family and my brothers family stay at whenever we are in Mackinaw. The employee's are always friendly especially the Manager Ben and his assistant Michelle. they always make us feel welcome. The hotel is well taken care of and is in a good location for travel to the island between the Starline and Arnolds.

I thought the hotel was very warm and inviting. Beds slept really well. Breakfast was o.k. There was plenty to pick from. Just wish sausages tasted better and danishes was warm instead of real cold. The thing that makes me not give it a outstanding is the Customer Service from the desk. Either there needs to be more experienced help to keep things moving along faster. The one lady was professional but also very short with you. I had to wait in line for 15 minutes just to ask her a simple question that took 2 seconds. I politely said excuse me, but I have a quick question. Then I tried to ask her my question off to the side out of the line first, and she rudely told me, (before I could say a word after excuse me), I'll take care of you when I am done with the other customer. The other worker new nothing, because he was obviously new. I work in retail sales and when I'm working with a customer and I can see another customer has a question, I politely ask the customer is there something I can help you with, and if it's something simple that won't interfere with slowing me down on the current customer, I'll answer the question or get something for them if it's quick... However, if asking how can I help you and what they need is something that will require my undivided attention, I may state to them that of course I can help you with that, but it will be a few minutes to take care of my other customers in line first. Or something like that. Not just leave someone waiting in line for 15 to 20 min. to answer a simple little question. Other than that, the hotel was absolutely wonderful. Angela M.

The suite we had had too much furniture in it to use the Murphy bed. We had to move furniture and remove cushions from the sofa in order for the bed to come down. Very crowded for 3 people.

I really enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. I just wished that the kiddy splash zone were elsewhere because it was so noisy. Michelle at the front desk was outstanding. We arrived early to pick up our Mackinaw Island package, but not everyone in our party went to the Island. Michelle notified us as soon as we could check in so that we had a place when we got tired of sightseeing. Thanks Michelle!

Pleasant staff. Accommodations were clean. Pool area was adequate, needs to be updated and washrooms more accessible. A small concession stand would be a great addition. Breakfast was ok, moving the waffle makers would improve the flow of people during peak times.

My original hotel cancelled my reservation DUE TO ELECTRICAL problems. I searched for a hotel and decided on Comfort Suites. After my online reservation, Comfort Suites called to transfer my reservation because they didn't have the room available. The other hotel(Bayside) didn't have the right size beds and transferred me back to Comfort Suites. After much pleading they finally gave me an "upgraded" room with the 2 QN beds I originally reserved for at a discounted rate. The price they quoted me was not correct(I paid more than what they told me what it would be on the phone) and I didn't get a receipt upon checkout to see what the charges were. Overall, good service because they were willing to work with me, but if you are going to charge more the amount agreed upon, you should be upfront about it.

Rooms were very clean. Staff was extremely professional, but really could not help you with directions that well. For instance, had no idea where casino was. Other than that, breakfast area was extremely hot. Very poor ventilation. Trip was great and will be back to soon.

The breakfast and the room were perfect. Service is friendly. The only thing I didn't like is the lack of any employees at the waterpark. The water shut off and we didn't know why. We later learned there is a timer that had to be turned on. It would have been nice to know that up front.
