We loved being able to walk onto the beach. We appreciated the front desk staff giving us options for which floor and the pros and cons of each. The breakfast room felt too busy for us, so we ate out instead. The key card was frustrating as it took several times to get it just right for entering. Hamilton Inn Select Beachfront HotelHamilton Inn Select Beachfront Deborah from Fort Mill stayed in September 2024I gave it 3 stars instead of 1 because of Zachary when I called he was very nice gave me a lot of information and then when I called back I talked to the manager and she was evidently very busy or had a bad day. The beach area is pretty, It was great that shepler ferry had a free shuttle. The pool is very cloudy dangerous you can't even see the bottom. We asked when the pool was gonna be cleaned she pointed to a guy and said that's what he's standing there for, how were we supposed to know who he was?. The beds are very comfortable the rooms are nice, The breakfast is basic, meat eggs and pancakes waffles. Pool and hot tub are good sizes but they put too much chemicals in them. We couldnt stay in there very long. We opened some sliders but they came in afterwards and closed them. Staff during breakfast are awesome. I think the hotel should have better signage how to find the breakfast area. We stayed three nights and the complimentary breakfast was terrible. They served the same thing every day. There was no variation whatsoever, including powdered eggs, lunchmeat ham that had been fried, frozen pancakes, the fruit was not fresh and there was no potato option, which is one of the simplest items to offer.
