Last year we stayed at the same hotel and I wrote a letter to both the hotel and on Travel Advisor about the horrible way we were treated and we always felt we were being chased out of our room by cleaning staff. What a surprise this year to be treated great and the hotel and staff could not have been nicer. There was quite a change in a year. I plan on continuing to come back every year. (This is our 5th year coming)

The stay was good and the hotel was clean. My family loved the beach and the pool (pirates cove)and we would love to come back soon. The only thing I wish they had was a bar or restaurant in the hotel so I could have a beer and watch a game at night without having to leave the hotel. Your hotel will be on the top of our list when we book our next trip to Mackinaw.

The room was clean which is the most important thing for us. The suite was perfect for us 4 sisters each wanting our own bed. No other hotel had a room like that. We come every year in the fall and will probably stay there again. The price was good too.

We did not stay at the Hamilton Inn as they were booked up.The folks at the front desk was very nice and offered to find us a room at the Best Western Dockside, which they did. The Best Western was nice and the people very friendly.We would give them a rating of "GOOD".

The room was nice and clean. The morning breadfast was very good. For a great price it would be hard to beat. Sorry we couldn't stay longer. The housecleaning personal was very nice and did a great job on keeping the room clean.

The room was clean and nice and the beachfront view was spectacular. The breakfast was good. Great location. Walking distance to ferry and several restaurants. Some of the front desk staff were not friendly. The only working ice machine was on the third floor. But for the most part it was a nice place.

The check-in was quick and easy. the rms. were great. We had 7 women to please and there wasn't one negative remark from anyone. The weather was great. We sat out by the beach for a few hours and had some margaritas before dinner. Hope to do it again. One complaint but not the hotel. Not one of us bought fudge this year. Why? "Buy 3 for $23.95 and get 2 free." Give me a break! They are out-pricing themselves. Don't tell me that the family who bought up half of the stores in town own the fudge shops too?

The Hamilton moved our reservation to a nearby Inn as they had overbooked. The accommodations were comparable to the room we had reserved at the Hamilton Inn so we were not upset. The room rate was the same for us, and, actually, it was a larger room than we had orignally reserved at the Hamilton. We would not hesitate to reserve rooms at the Hamnilton as were were treated well.

The thing that made the ultimate difference between good and outstanding was the staff. They were extremely friendly, helpful and concerned for my well being. There were little problems such as the ice machine on my floor was down and there was not always coffee in the breakfast area but these paled next to my overall impressions of the staff which definitely made my stay worthwhile and enjoyable.

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable. We thought the breakfast buffet was not that good. They advertise as a 25ft. buffet. It might have been 25ft.long, but there were some very poor choices. We gave the hotel a good rating.

Clean, friendy and all expectations met. Breakfast is an added plus. only suggestion is to inform your guests that the suite offered with the access door in the dining room will be a very noisy room in the morning, and not very private opening the door into a room full of people. we were given the room and asked to be moved that same day.

Very clean. lake view balcony was great. Hotel staff was great when we had to move one night of reservation due to a family emergency. breakfast room was large and clean everything was good except the gravy was just nasty. the kids loved the access to the pirates indoor water park. great access to starline ferry also

The staff was very helpful & accomodating. The room was nice, pool area was nice and the breakfast was the normal 25' breakfast bar that all of the hotels in the area offer. Waffles were excellent. I will definitely stay here again in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. It would be nice if there was an elevator at each end of the building, as we were on the 3rd floor, but at the complete opposite end of the elevator. Very nice hotel!

Clean, quiet rooms. Great that it shares a parking lot with Star Lines so we didn't have to move the car. Walking distance to several good restaurants. Great free breakfast buffet. Nice pool. We didn't like the new memory foam matresses though. Otherwise, our stay was pleasant.
